I went to the Mother's Day brunch this afternoon that was sponsored by the Sandy Springs Center. I was so impressed! They had the room nicely decorated and the food was very good. They gave each resident lace gloves and beads to wear during lunch. They also gave a rose to each guest. When the brunch was through each resident left with a goodie bag and tge guests were given a key chain. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. You could tell everyone was having a great time!

My experience with Bailey Springs Nursing Center while my mother was a resident was extremely concerning and, at times, alarming. Within just a few days of admission, I was informed that my mother was not eating. When I asked what alternatives or interventions had been attempted, I was told none. Despite this, she continued to be given medications that are intended to be taken with food, which led to repeated vomiting of whole pills and worsening nausea rather than addressing the root issue. I was also told directly by staff that residents are only given bed baths a few times per week. During my mother’s stay, she was not taken to a shower at all. On one visit, she had a strong odor and staff rushed to clean her only after realizing I was present, which raised serious concerns about her ongoing hygiene care. Care coordination was also unreliable. I communicated well in advance about a scheduled neurology appointment and the need for transportation. This was not properly arranged, despite multiple follow-ups, and incorrect information about her insurance was given. More alarming were the changes in my mother’s medical condition. At one point, she appeared heavily sedated without clear explanation, with noticeably dilated pupils and altered responsiveness. This was especially concerning given her condition and care needs. She had also been complaining of abdominal and pelvic pain for days without appropriate diagnostic follow-up. When I ultimately took her out for her appointment, her condition was so concerning that she had to be admitted to the hospital immediately. She was diagnosed with a severe UTI involving E. coli and had lost six pounds in approximately 10 days—something that speaks to a lack of adequate nutrition and monitoring. There were also clear safety issues. My mother requires a protective helmet due to a prior craniotomy, yet she was placed in a chair without it and left unattended. I have documentation and records supporting these concerns. Based on this experience, I strongly urge anyone considering this facility to be extremely vigilant, ask detailed questions, and closely monitor their loved one’s care.

I had a pleasant visit- from point of entry until my exit. The facility was clean. I used a public restroom that was welcoming. Personnel were kind- even outside the door of entry. I was pleasantly greeted by residents and personnel as I walked to my loved one's room. The gentleman, who delivered his meal was kind. My brother-in-love said, "They take really good care of me here." Thank you all! Keep up the good! God bless you!

I want to say thank you so much to all the staff at sandy springs who work on the rehab unit. When my dad was first admitted, he couldn’t even walk. By the time he was discharged, he was walking and much stronger than he was before. I am so grateful to the PT/OT staff, wound care nurse, case management, and the nursing staff. You all do incredible work and I thank you for taking such good care of my dad. God bless every single one of you!

I will say this much. Life will not find its way here. Sandy Springs Center for Healing and Nursing is not perfect. Nothing or no person Personally, when my son and I went to visit and met the Administrative office, Director, Social Worker (s), I knew it was not perfect. I just needed for the place to be "all" right. My husband has been a client for almost 5 years. He had visited him every season each year. Seemed like there was no progression with attitudes of the Administrator or Social Worker. They were just giving strength to some space. Transparency is not found. You could sense in a conversation when a lie was on its way. There are a lot of things not being said about this place. I dont need to know the outcome or the reason why before I decide to take a step or two. I do know the God that sustains us, will walk besides me in this fight regarding nutrition, sanitation, therapeutic actives, mental emotional and spiritual health.When you speak on healing all those subjects should be included everyday in the lives of each client at Sandy Springs Nursing Center. I pray that everyone who has a loved one living at this facility will stay involved with the healing of their
