This place is horrible, my parents just recently got kicked out of the lower apartments just a couple of days ago for reasons I won't say but, they're both disabled and my father is a war vet. It's illegal to kick someone out without notice and time frame to get out, not just get kicked out.

Salem Home Nursing Staff, Activities, Physical Therapy, Medical Care, Maintenance, Kitchen, House Keeping, and Administrative Staff is Top of the line for their Residents and their needs! My Father has been blessed to live in Salem for over a year now. I couldn't ask for a better living experience for him. He daily enjoys all the benefits of Dignity and Respect.

I have been in visiting a few residents the past few months. Most of the staff seems to be traveling nurses, nothing against them, but they are not familiar with the residents, this home makes bank from the people being here. They need to pay better to get regular staff. Not to mention kitchen help, a few weeks ago several residents asked about their supper, it was already 7 p.m. and they were told " you will get it when it gets here"! I couldn't believe my ears, this place is not quality by any means.

My husband was at Salem Home for 5 1/2 years and I am so thankful to all the staff for his wonderful care. I usually just dropped in on him and never caught him in a distressful situation in all that time. I’d ask him is they were good to him and the answer was always yes and he wasn’t an easy man to please. When he passed away they were there to comfort us like family. I cannot thank you enough. HORRIBLE staff. Treat the residents like animals. Literally had my family member peeing in a plastic jug because they wouldn't give him a urinal. Then tried to intimidate us into not reporting them to the state. Also would not transport my family member to required doctor appointments. The DON Kelly Kidd was hateful and rude when I tried to talk to her about what was going on. Honestly, Salem Home should either be shut down or have everyone canned and start over. I will NEVER put another family member in there.
