Saint Joseph of the Pines Health Center is a Life Plan Community offering independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and short-term rehabilitation in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Founded in 1948, the community provides a continuum of care for senior adults with amenity-rich residential options and healthcare services.
The community offers three levels of residential care. Independent living features over thirty floorplans ranging from 300 square foot studios to 2400 square foot homes, with two residence options: Pine Knoll, offering historic elegance surrounded by lush greenery, and Belle Meade, a gated resort-style community. Assisted living is provided through The Coventry and Pine Meadows, which support older adults needing help with activities of daily living while offering social engagement and activities. The Caritas Memory Care wing, located within The Coventry, serves seniors progressing through Alzheimer's and dementia. A rehabilitation program offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy in the Therapy Village for those needing short-term recovery and mobility support.
Amenities on the campus include an indoor saltwater pool, spa, and fitness room; outdoor putting green, pickleball courts, and wellness trails; a hair salon, library, and chapel. Residents enjoy generous dining options both on and off property, with fees including local transportation to medical appointments, maintenance, groundskeeping, security, utilities, landline phone, and extended basic cable. The community is located in Southern Pines, known as a golfer's paradise, with optional membership available at nine local golf courses.
Pet-friendly residences are available for residents wishing to relocate with their pets. The community serves Moore County through a Mobile Rural Health Clinic and welcomes volunteers and donors to support initiatives for those in need.
