The service at this rehabilitation center is overall not so good. When they received me a gentleman by the name Frank was great! He made me feel comfort and welcomed. The doctor thier had NO bedside manners he was pushy and in a sence made me feel like the medications that I was taking by my specialist were not right and challenged that. There was a black nurse at th nurses station that ignores everyone, but the hispanic young lady that was there waited to see if the black nurse was going to help me and when she didn't, the hispanic lady assisted me quickly. Now I have to say that thier physical therapy team was awesome. Especially the hispanic young man. Out of all the nurse CNA's Felicia was the most attending during the 2pm-10pm shift. During the morning a larger sized black lady CNA that laughs loud was amazing as well. These two CNA's made sure to check on us and made sure we were comfortable, had nice conversations with us and upon our request acted quickly. To be honest if it were not for those two CNA's I would of rated the facility a 2 star to 1 star. Oh let me not forget the first Elderly lady that I was roomed with was left almost 8 hours without her diaper being changed. I had to push her red button and reminded her that she needs to use her red help button whenever she needs her diaper changed. The smell was so bad that I had to request to be roomed with someone more my age that could walk to the restroom. I feel for the elderly people that are there. If you are looking for a facility to take you or your loved one, please make sure you read all the reviews. The 3.5 rating that my insurance had for this facility was not accurate unfortunately. Hey Felitia!

If I could leave a negative number I would. Social Worker is far from professional, does not answer phone and did not return our calls. We ended up having to go to the facility just to talk to her about a family members discharge. She was not friendly and dismissive.

This place is the worse place possible to bring anyone you care about. They are currently under investigation by the federal and local law enforcement. My father was there for almost four years. Upon moving back to Tucson and moving my father in with me. Upon reviewing his finances, I realized that Sabino Canyon had been keeping his VA Benefits even after being paid in full for each month there by Project Home Fiduciary. When I first investigated my father‘s finances, Sabino Canyon they claim they did not receive any VA benefits for him. After talking to VA I found out that was untrue. I went to talk to the director and asked him why they had no record of their VA funds. I threatened to call the police so that I could have that investigated. After telling the director I was gonna call the police an hour later he claimed that they did receive the funds from the VA. We’re talking about upwards of $50,000 DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. Also, the place is in horrible condition. Please look at the photos I have included.

Sabino is a great facility that will treat your loved ones with nothing but the best care! When you walk in first thing you see are the many awards they have won throughout the years, and they have an amazing therapy team as well as the nurses and CNA’s just being wonderful and treating everyone with respect an having a great attitude. Every staff member is always available to go above and beyond to help patients and family members with their needs. The experience I’ve had an Sabino has been nothing but amazing and is definitely a place I would recommend to take care of your loved ones!

This place doesn’t even deserve a star, the care was horrible. There are a couple staff members, Jenny and Neo were CNAs that cared. They failed to give my father breathing treatments as scheduled. We won’t even discuss his embarrassment of being left in a Tshirt with an adult diaper and no other clothes. I understand insurance dictates but insurance goes off of notes, which in this case said my dad was fully independent, that’s funny because he can barely stand on his own. Today was discharge with absolutely no discharge planning. I wasn’t asked once if he had a walker to go home, when I asked when his last nebulizer treatment was I received a blank stare only to find his last treatment was yesterday at 7pm. No one was alarmed that he was straight breathe. In the 7 days he was there he lost 10 pounds due to the horrible food. The list goes on. If you love your friend or family member, please keep them away from this facility.
