My grandmother recently stayed here for rehab for almost 2 weeks. She decided to leave early because of the poor care there. She had no complaints about the therapy, but had many complaints about everything else. At night time she had children running through her room emptying the trash and leaving her bathroom door open with the light on. After having back surgery, she had to get up into her wheelchair to turn the light out. Children doing the work of their parents who work there we assume? And disrupting resident's sleep in the middle of the night. She also had to take herself to the restroom, even though she cannot stand by herself. They do not answer the call light for 2 hours and more. She had to make her own bed at one point, because they left linens on the bed and her in her wheel chair and never returned. She would go for hours without seeing anyone and anyone checking on her. The final decision to leave was made when another resident who is a man with dementia entered her room on 2 different nights. The second night she had to get into her wheelchair and holler and scream until he left. She was very afraid, more afraid than she has ever been. The staff treated her like it was no big deal and did not apologize. She only was given 2 baths the whole time she was there and only because she requested it. She felt unsafe and is terrified now to have to go a nursing home ever. One night she didn't receive her supper either. She saw a nurse practitioner one time while she was there. She wanted to do this review to make sure no one ever sends their family members there. She says "do not ever consider taking your family there because they are not safe".

My dad stayed in rehab over the weekend and we had him moved as quickly as we could. We would ring for help and no one would come. Literally had to go out on the hall and tell for help while the one person that was visible was laying on the couch watching TV while ignoring all the alarms my dad fell in the bathroom after ringing for help and noone coming to help for more than 30 minutes the family had to help him up and get him back on bed. We actually should have sued them but we got him out and moved on. My dad was covered in bruises with a huge knot on his arm and there did was to put a band-aid on it. We had to insist on a doctor to see if anything was broke. Never sent him to the hospital and a doctor never saw him that day. We can't in Sunday and he was lethargic and couldn't wake up and we, the family, called an ambulance. Worst place ever.

My mother has been at the russellville rehab /nursing facility since November 1st. MY mother and I have been treated with respect and kindness from day one. They make the time to answer all our questions and if they don't know the answer they find out. I visit my mother almost daily at different times of the the day and I have witness all the nurses, tech, aides and administration all working to make the residence feel at home. They have fun events scheduled and friendly smiles while helping residents and their family adjust to their new surroundings. I can go home at night and sleep well knowing my mom is in good care.
