HORRIBLE! If I could give this place ZERO STARS I would! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful and take the initiative to do research on facilities before you send your loved ones. They continuously changed the name of their facility, Renamed (Avant Rehab & Care Center ) CHECK THE REVIEWS OUT UNDER THAT NAME !!!!!!!!!!!. They use pictures only of the main lobby first floor on one side of facility to deceive you in thinking that is how it is throughout the rest of the floors within facility. 3rd floor (lock down floor) is an absolutely mess and needs to be in a horror film. EVERYONE WHO WORKS THE FLOOR never knows code to let you in/out which is more importantly a fire hazard . ( so you’re practically standing there waiting several minutes) . STAFF (whenever they have them because there are always short) is very negligent! They do UNDER the bare minimum ( get a check & go home.) It’s so sad because there is only a FEW like (2-3) out of the whole facility who actually care it makes everyone look bad. THIS Facility ALLOWS staff to assault patients, never applied appropriate policy to notify law enforcement or PATIENT FAMILY FOR SEVERAL DAYS ( try to do everything in house and sweep under rug ) , facility continues to unplug patient phone so they are not able to contact family to report CONSTANT OCCURRING INCIDENTS ( yet facilities keeps prolonging process to get patient transferred , blocking family phone number etc) , NEVER transport patient to hospital for proper evaluation/treatment! Staff leaves patients in (BM) bowel movement FOR HOURS ! No exaggeration! Staff does not clean patients properly (poorhygiene) No showering, brushing teeth, washing face, clean hands(nails). Staff leaves soiled linen on bed/patients for DAYS. Staff are only worried about the “easy” patient who can help themselves! For the ones who need extra assistance or “causes problems” are left to fend for them selves for HOURS until they finally decide to make their rounds again to give meds or meals! Every Aide has their FAVORITE and only tends to them PROPERLY. Call lights on for numerous of times unanswered. ROOMS are filthy, no sweeping no moping. Only priority is the trash every few days ( and they hardly can do that ) . No dusting ,No disinfecting , Leaves BLOOD on several surfaces! SOCIAL WORKER is a disgrace. HEAD NURSE SUPERVISOR disgrace. These people(Staff) committed themselves to abide by Healthcare rules & laws ! They swear by them that the will do what is right for these people , yet here they are mistreating and taking advantage of them! Something needs to be done and I will not rest until this matter is handle appropriately. I will be contacting everyone regarding my experience with this facility. And this is only a fraction of everything my family has had to deal with! I would need to write a book , FYI we never authorized him to be sent here in the first place! What if it was your family members? HEALTH CARE WORKERS ARE PEOPLE WITH A HEART WHO CARE TO HELP OTHERS! Keep in mind. I will be the voice for everyone who has been mistreated by the hands of these horrible individuals! Only the beginning….
