I had to place my wife into memory care back in September of 2020, as I am no longer able to care for her with my own health issues. I am one of the lucky ones who had a family member help me locate this place. Let me start by saying we saw the reviews previous and were worried we shouldn't even think about it. However, we were informed of the new ownership and changes that were being made. They were also able to provide us with 2 references that currently had loved ones in the facility and had seen both the old and new ownership at work. Unfortunately, we were not able to see the inside due to Covid, however the staff at the time was willing to do a FaceTime call so we could do a virtual walk-through. Yes the place is dated, however it is clean. This was not the first place we had looked at, however this was the closest. I placed my wife there in September during the pandemic and it was a hard, knowing I wouldn't be able to go in to see her settled. I would call her or FaceTime her and the best thing would happen, she would tell me how happy she was, she liked all the people and the food was good. Currently every call I have had with her she has said the same thing. Lori the Director is amazing, she always takes the time to talk with me and my family member when we have questions or if she is concerned about something she contacts us. I can say that the place is clean, when you walk up to the door to have an outside visit or drop something off there is no odor that comes out of the door. They do have a beautiful courtyard that is in the middle of the complex so the residence are safe. The staff is very helpful if we have questions and again they are informative if they have a concern or my wife is in need of anything. They also keep the residents well engaged with activities, they have sent me pictures of her dancing, playing golf, decorating Christmas cookies and they have a monthly birthday party for the residence each month. I will say I was one of those people that said I would not put my wife somewhere, however I will tell you that she is doing great, she is the happiest I have seen her since this horrible disease (Dementia) grabbed a hold of her. She really seems to be thriving with all the activities and attention they receive. I only gave 4 stars because they are in the process of making changes and we are excited to see them. Thank you Lori, Alicia and all the staff they really have been great to work with.
