I had to place my wife into memory care back in September of 2020, as I am no longer able to care for her with my own health issues. I am one of the lucky ones who had a family member help me locate this place. Let me start by saying we saw the reviews previous and were worried we shouldn't even think about it. However, we were informed of the new ownership and changes that were being made. They were also able to provide us with 2 references that currently had loved ones in the facility and had seen both the old and new ownership at work. Unfortunately, we were not able to see the inside due to Covid, however the staff at the time was willing to do a FaceTime call so we could do a virtual walk-through. Yes the place is dated, however it is clean. This was not the first place we had looked at, however this was the closest. I placed my wife there in September during the pandemic and it was a hard, knowing I wouldn't be able to go in to see her settled. I would call her or FaceTime her and the best thing would happen, she would tell me how happy she was, she liked all the people and the food was good. Currently every call I have had with her she has said the same thing. Lori the Director is amazing, she always takes the time to talk with me and my family member when we have questions or if she is concerned about something she contacts us. I can say that the place is clean, when you walk up to the door to have an outside visit or drop something off there is no odor that comes out of the door. They do have a beautiful courtyard that is in the middle of the complex so the residence are safe. The staff is very helpful if we have questions and again they are informative if they have a concern or my wife is in need of anything. They also keep the residents well engaged with activities, they have sent me pictures of her dancing, playing golf, decorating Christmas cookies and they have a monthly birthday party for the residence each month. I will say I was one of those people that said I would not put my wife somewhere, however I will tell you that she is doing great, she is the happiest I have seen her since this horrible disease (Dementia) grabbed a hold of her. She really seems to be thriving with all the activities and attention they receive. I only gave 4 stars because they are in the process of making changes and we are excited to see them. Thank you Lori, Alicia and all the staff they really have been great to work with.

My mother is almost 99 years old . She fell and broke her hip had surgery and was in a rehab center. I placed her in Rose place several weeks ago. I found the facility to be exceptionally clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The administration is extremely helpful . I feel so blessed to have found this facility. I can rest easily knowing my moms cared for. My mom adjusted very well to her new surroundings. It’s so helpful to be able to talk to the staff when I have questions. They are available to answer my question at any time. The other positive aspect of Rose Place is there has been no Covid in the facility since last August. Residents are test often as well as the staff. I am grateful I have found a place for my moms care. It’s been a blessing. Paula A Evans LMFT

When my husband needed immediate 24/7 memory care placement, I was very fortunate to find Rose Place. It’s one of the most affordable places I could find, for which I’m grateful since I’m paying 100% out of pocket. What’s also very important is that my husband is in a safe environment, safety being a key consideration in dementia care facilities. Rose Place is an older facility, but “newer/fancier” usually just means higher cost, not necessarily better care! Some older reviews caused me a moment’s concern, but research has shown me that the center went through some rough times due to circumstances going on “behind the scenes”. The new, current management has brought things back around, their new director Lori brings skill, compassion and pride in her work, along with a staff of outstanding caregivers. The center also works closely with a local hospice, who come in to care for about a dozen of the center’s residents throughout the week, including my husband. The nurses help assure me of the good care being given to all. As hard of a decision that it was to have to place my husband in a care center, I’m comforted knowing he’s being well cared for at Rose Place.

I moved my sister and brother-in-law into The Oasis (now Rose Place) in July of 2019. My sister had Alzheimer’s and passed last August from the disease. My B-I-L has dementia and has other health issues.

Up until about 5 months ago, I felt as others who have posted here (note: majority of complaints were from 1-2 years ago). While I’ve had issues with previous Administrators, I’ve seen a huge improvement over the last 5 months or so in the interaction of staff with my B-I-L. The new Admin, Lori, has changed the culture of the facility since taking over last fall. It seems the staff are much more professional with a higher quality of care and caring. If we can’t care for our loved ones ourselves, we want to know they’re truly cared for and their needs are being met with dignity.
I feel Lori Knowles and the Rose Place staff are doing that. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because nothing is 100% perfect and it gives them something to strive for.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this care facility. From Lori the director, to the top star chef, to every worker who comes in each day and really provides compassionate care to every resident. It was very hard for my family to ever fathom having a loved one go into a facility, but at Rosecare they have done everything in their power to allow my grandmother a happy continuance in a safe space. The disease takes so much away, but Rosecare has allowed us to have our loved one close and well taken care of. It was a miracle we found this place, and I truly believe that Lori and her staff are going above and beyond the call each and everyday!
