Roosevelt Care Center

Roosevelt Care Center at Edison is a long-term care facility in Edison, New Jersey, with a history dating back to 1936. Originally constructed as a tuberculosis hospital under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Works Project Administration, the facility was converted by Middlesex County into a long-term care facility in the 1950s to serve the region's aging population.

The community has expanded significantly over the decades to meet growing demand. A 250-bed expansion was completed in 1982, followed by the establishment of a 180-bed facility at the Parsonage Road location, which became the primary base of operations by May 2005. The campus now operates modern infrastructure while maintaining its core service programs.

Roosevelt Care Center offers hospice care, which was established in the late 1980s, as well as subacute rehabilitation services, which began in the late 1990s. These specialized programs, along with long-term care, distinguish the facility's offerings for area residents.
