My mom is now on hospice there, hospice has agreed for her to continue to get her insulin. I was told 2 days in a row that her insulin has been discontinued by the nurses who check her sugar. When I went to the nurse at the front desk to ask yet again why? she kept repeating she put it in as needed and actually SMILED like she found it funny (she was trying to hold back a laugh) that i was upset and advocating for my mom. If it was put in as needed why was i told twice it was discontinued? Staff WILL TREAT you how they see fit. All I want is dignity for both me and my mom with the remaining time we have left, why is that so wrong? Just remember one day it could be you, it could be one of your loved ones. When people get upset think about the way you treat them in the end they are only going to mirror your attitude and unprofessional behavior. You need to bring your own chair while visiting love ones. Don't learn the hard way like myself. When I used the chair in my moms room the nurse got upset with me and talked about me in the hallway.

I was admitted to Riversde Healthcare on September 29, 2025 for rehabilitation. The facility is clean and the staffs are excellent. I would give it 5 stars, but the meals are horrible. When I get my food it's cold. Their substitute meals are a sandwich, which was also horrible. During my stay I had breakfast meats 2 times. The portions are very small. On my third day, I ordered food delivery every day, which was very costly. Improve the meals and I'm sure you would get 5 stars ratings.

I would not give 1 star if it were not required for the review. If you are considering Riverside or you have a loved one at Riverside, please consider our experience: My Grandmother was a bed-bound patient, she had recurring UTIs due to being changed poorly. On Friday, May 23rd, 2025, My mother found my grandmother in a state of delusion without her oxygen and her sentences were not making sense. My grandmother was sharp and normally very in tune. My mother asked her nurse about it because we did not receive a call about this drastic change, and inquired how long and why her oxygen was off? The nurse was aware but did not call. They said they would call the doctor in, after three hours of waiting and not knowing what was going on my father asked when the doctor would be in, they said tomorrow. My parents then immediately had her sent to Piedmont Newton ER, where they said she had an untreated UTI that led to both kidneys being filled with kidney stones and a severe kidney infection. All of her levels were severely off, she was dehydrated, and her oxygen was very low. My grandmother stayed at Piedmont Newton from Friday to Tuesday, the 27th. On May 27th, my parents had a meeting with a panel of administrators who addressed the issues and asked for "one more chance to make it right." Just a few days later, on June 1st, my grandmother was found again by my parents in a deep sleep, not eating, and declining rapidly. We had the EMTs come and get her immediately. We had to track down her nurse. Again, no one called to let anyone know of her condition, and they were aware. My grandmother had been at Riverside for 7 years, not one nurse or staff member said one thing to us as we took her out for the last time. My grandmother passed away on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025. I say all of this to say, do not trust the Riverside Staff with your loved one. If you are in a position and you have to take your loved one here, please visit often, or they will neglect your loved one.
