No stars. My brother's isn't taken to testing or doctors. I go when I can to clean the room myself. Part time help does as little as possible on weekends. Never name tags so there could be retraining. Personally I would rather pass then suffer there.

Riverside Health & Rehab has demonstrated a level of negligence and disorganization that no family should ever have to deal with. They repeatedly sent billing statements and even a debt collection threat addressed to TWO deceased family members — long after their passing — despite being notified in writing multiple times. They used threatening language about ‘exploring their rights to safely discharge’ a patient who had been dead for nearly a year. That is not a clerical error. That is reckless, irresponsible, and deeply disturbing. Their refusal to communicate in writing, their contradictory explanations, and their inability to maintain accurate records raise serious concerns about how they handle patient information, billing, and compliance. Even their own legal department admitted the invoice was sent ‘by mistake,’ yet the pattern of repeated errors and threats tells a very different story. This matter is now filed with the CFPB, FTC, and state authorities. Families deserve competence, transparency, and basic respect — not threats, excuses, and careless handling of sensitive information. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I recently visited a family member at Riverside Health and Rehab and left very concerned about the overall care, cleanliness, safety, and communication support being provided. My cousin is blind, diabetic, has one leg amputated, and is largely bedridden, making him heavily dependent on staff for assistance and safety. He expressed feeling isolated and stated that he spends most of his time alone in his room despite wanting more social interaction, activities, and communication with family. One of my biggest concerns was learning that his call button had reportedly been left out of reach on multiple occasions. For a blind and immobilized resident, that creates a serious safety issue because he cannot independently seek help when needed. He also explained that he struggles to communicate with family because he cannot independently use his phone due to his blindness and does not consistently receive assistance with communication. During my visit, I also noticed strong unpleasant odors and concerning cleanliness issues in parts of the facility. I did speak directly with administration regarding my concerns and was told the issues would be addressed. I sincerely hope meaningful improvements are made for the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of residents.

My sister has been at Riverside Health and Rehab center for the last six months, recovering from a broken right femur. I have noticed that the staff there are incredibly professional, kind, caring and compassionate. They’re always going above and beyond to provide the necessary treatments and engage the residents in activities to lift their spirits. They do this as much as they can, often under challenging conditions like limited staff and funding. I truly admire their dedication and we are so grateful for everything they do. P. Adams

This place needs to be shut down and investigated! I’ll be reporting them to dhec every time until they do. They don’t tend to their patients like they are supposed and stay posted up at the nurses station playing around… basically to sit on their behinds and get paid to do nothing. Their attitudes are disgusting. Not changing their residents like they should where they end up in worse conditions and bed sores… lying on them and accusing them of things is wild too… I smell multiple lawsuits anyways… I have all the video proof I need!!!! Slack place! Do not send your loved one here at all!!!
