It's unfortunate that we were unable to begin working with the home care provider due to miscommunication from the very start. During the initial visit, the intake person asked how many days of care we required, and we specified 3 days a week. However, I later received a call offering us care for 5 days a week. While this wasn’t what we wanted, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, assuming this “simple” detail may have been misunderstood between the intake and the office. I was then informed that a CNA from their office would come to assess my mother's needs for just one shift—this person would not be the ongoing caregiver—in order to find a suitable match for our situation (later I find out after the cna leaves, that this caregiver is now available after I was informed days prior, she is ONLY coming to assess). Huh? However, during the intake process they cautioned that it could take weeks of trial and error—or, as they put it, “wonky people”—before they found the right fit. They were simply looking to "put a body in my house.” These were her exact words. This is akin to a doctor's office hiring a butcher or a car salesman just to fill a position until they find someone truly qualified! Quite alarming, especially considering these individuals will be entering our home to care for a completely vulnerable person. Furthermore, it raises serious questions about whether background checks are even a priority when they are operating so carelessly from the outset. On top of that, I was informed I would be charged a prime rate of $39/hour. What a joke! Our situation requires more than just any caregiver—we need someone who is genuinely qualified, with the right skills and experience to provide effective care for my elderly, bedridden mother. I must say, this has been incredibly unprofessional from the beginning. It’s troubling because we cannot be sure that these “bodies” possess the necessary qualifications to deliver the level of care my mother requires. The entire process has felt unsettling, confusing, and deeply concerning. Finally, when I attempted to discuss our experience and why we decided to go with another agency, the intake person showed little to no interest in addressing the situation. Their response was simply, “Just give us a call if the other agency doesn’t work out.”

We pay for 24 hour aids for mother in law in our home. We are never told who will be here or when. the shifts change constantly as do the personnel. there are a few aids that she has become accustomed to and when they are assigned elsewhere she melts down. normally we just deal with this. When I told them this was causing meltdowns for my mother in law and this week we needed her calm, they reused to listen or seem to care. They refused to send who we requested and send a random person causing my mother in law with dementia to have an utter meltdown. today has been a disaster that could have been avoided. We have tried to be patient with them. If we had it to do over again, we would have chosen a different way.

One star is too much of a rating for this place. Talk about unprofessionalism. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. You walk into the office and you are in a basement with broken down furniture that looks was left behind. I had had to endure with there lack of and had some to go up the ladder to vent my concerns and then some, a lot of good it did. Stay away from this place and seek other facilities. Many times my dad would go without care because there lack of communication and failure to follow up with. My dad didn't care for the services as well but he is at peace now and doesn't have to deal with them as well as I. Look else where.

My mother was referred to this agency and I was there upon the nursing supervisor Sandy and starting nurse Yazmine. I thought all was going to be good yet had to contact them to see when an experienced CNA was going to start. I was provided with a name was told Amanda was the one whom oversees the the Operation. It took me to contact them yet last Monday a CNA whom never worked the field and was to meet another didn't occur. This poor young lady was left to figure out where to go by going building to building looking at names to find my mother by her last name. This agency didn't provide nor meet the expectations anticipated. Meaning my mother needed someone with experience, a driving licence, could bring her to her appointmenrs, run errands and my mother signed a consent for the CNA to drive her vehicle. Nope waited over a week poor young lady hadn't a clue, a driving licence and to boot a clue of any expectations needed. Today 9/3/2018 I happen to look on the computer for something to see an email from Amanda from 9/2/2018 @11:34pm indicating the CNA could not make it in but would seek another upon my confirmation given she tried to contact me but something was wrong with the phone. Yet I provided both my home and cell number and there were not any incoming calls. Needless to say my mother did bot get the services she needed, I have to cancel my appointment for a torn rotator cuff bc of the lack of assistance. I. Rate this place as a -0 given they did nothing but make things worse and tried to pass it onto the the new nurse when the acting supervisor was there and everything that was needed was well explained. I find this unfair to the CNA and my mother amongst oneself. Everything that was needed, we received nothing but the opposite and that is not Quality Health Care nor what they say they provide. Added more, if the state pays for services needed and the CNA. Provides transportation be careful given it Was Not explained yet after the first 5 miles if driven in the CNA's vehicle as I found out the "Client" is charged .57 a mile thereafter. . I have come the conclusion that Right @ Home is really a way of making people think services one expects are not the services to be provided. My mother unfortunately needs a lot of assistance and given this agency puts on a front now we are in the same predicament we started in if not worse. Be aware Don't believe what they say and be careful of what the "Client" signs given all information is not provided as mentioned. For a company to place an ad and Social Workers whom care try to assist with Services. Right at Home is Not Truthful gives only bits and pieces and hard cases do not get what is needed yet get paid.. One week of device but a week to wait upon oneself contacting them we encountered nothing but a mess and more train... I would love to continue. Those of you whom rated this agency as a 5, I absolutely don't understand how unless the elderly person is unaware of what really takes place and the family really isn't involved. Truth be Truth! Regards, Cherl
