My father was recently moved to Ridgeway for long‑term rehab after spending a few weeks in a local hospital, and I am truly grateful for the care he received. From the friendly front‑desk team to management (Bob and Donna), the social worker (Pam), the nursing staff (Claire and her team), and the doctors, everyone treated my father with genuine compassion and attentiveness. Their kindness made a difficult time so much easier, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such capable, caring hands. If your loved one needs rehabilitation after a surgery or hospital stay, Ridgeway is a place where they will be well cared for. The only area I think could be improved is the TV and internet service. Only a few channels worked consistently, and the TVs weren’t compatible with Fire Sticks, so watching movies together wasn’t really an option. I shared this suggestion with the staff, but it was the only drawback in an otherwise very positive experience.

The care at RMNH was passable. One thing I particularly disliked were some philosophical inconsistencies. The administrator said it was okay to wear hospital gowns in the hallways. He said that a nursing home cannot force a resident from doing anything he did not want to do. Stacy, Donna. and Zaire said they could withhold services from me if I was not dressed in street clothes at all times. I am fairly certain that this violates resident rights. I am half thinking of calling the Baltic Co Ombudsman. Stevie a.k.a. Shorty is a housekeeper who was very disrespectful to me. Despite several requests to ask permission to use an electrical outlet in my room, Shorty continued to stick his hand behind my privacy curtain, reaching his hand along the wall, plugging his device into the outlet without permission. In so doing, he pulled my tv plug out of the outlet. I am a paying nursing home resident, and I have certain rights. I pay rent which pays his salary, so he is technically working for me. He does not listen to my wishes. He claims to be a good Christian soldier, but his behavior proves otherwise.

I’m very disappointed in the route Ridgeway Manor has decided to take — and in the attitude that seems to drive it. There appears to be little remorse or compassion for their own kind, and that raises serious concerns about whether the staff truly care for the people they serve or if it’s become all about money. One particular woman, who seemed to have some level of authority, said and did things that genuinely broke my heart. Out of respect, I won’t mention her name, but the words and actions I witnessed made me question her sense of empathy. At that moment, Ridgeway no longer felt like a home — it felt more like a cold institution, almost like a hospital prison. I truly wish them the best, but I hope they find their way back to compassion, care, and humanity.

My mother was transferred here after the last rehabilitation center left her with a severe wound. Overall it was much better than previous facility but still left a lot to be desired. I would tell anyone who has a loved one in this type of facility be there as much as you can. That is what we learned the hard way. This facility has a large amount of turnover which makes communication very difficult. It was always hard getting anyone to help you. It was often so frustrating and meant me leaving my job and going by there to get assistance. Some of the staff were wonderful others were horrible.

I was younger than the normal range. But they treated me with respect & kindness. When I entered the place I was in so much pain. I could not do anything for myself but 1/2 way thru my stay I could do almost everything. The nurses staff & rehab staff were amazing! I was nervous at first but it worked out. The food was great too. However, there were times I couldn't sleep but, I finally was off to sleep.
