This is a horrible facility. Nothing but rude staff that dont care for patients. Patients rooms are dirty and patients are not clean there not getting changed. Nurse and other floor staffed forced a patient who didnt want to go for surgery onto a stretcher to make him go. Pt was completely mentally competent. Secretary and aids are nasty to transport and ambulance services. Ive been picking patients up here for four years and have never had problems this bad until the last few months.

Shenandoah Rehabilitation Center has serious downsides. The reality behind its walls is frightening. Their core responsibility to ensure that the elderly take their medication and are properly monitored for their health is completely neglected. This is supposed to be the very purpose of a rehabilitation center, but that’s not what happens. Staff fail to check whether patients take their medicine, neglect other residents, and show a shocking lack of care. On top of that, they speak about your family members in ways that are completely unacceptable. No. Just no. What is wrong with this place?

I was admitted to the Faculiry from hospital. Was treated well. Was there for physical therapy because of my legs... trouble walking. They helped alot getting the fluid out of my legs thru medsand physical therapy. I was there only about 3 weeks to a month. I wasn't crazy about physical therapy (I didn't like the bike) but otherwise the ladies made other activities to keep it interesting. (Sorry about the paint ladies). Some of the food was fantastic. And the ladies didn't complain much when I had food delivered. And I didn't mind buying the whole floor Ice Cream Sunday Cups, and then pies... I enjoyed doing it. Wasn't a bad experience, but it felt lkke they were rushing me out the door ASAP. I would recommend. I knew a couple of the nurses, and they remembered when my late wife worked there.

What happened to my grandmother at Shenandoah Ridgeview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is unforgivable. She died on January 5, 2025, and I believe her death was the result of neglect.

They told us she “kept taking her oxygen mask off,” but if that were true, why wasn’t anyone watching her? That excuse only hides their failure to do their job. I don’t believe a single word they said.

She was bullied, disrespected, and treated like she didn’t matter because she didn’t have money, power, or connections. Staff and other patients made her feel small — it was plain to see. Most of the staff are only there for a paycheck. And guess what — when they get fired or quit, they start spilling the tea about everything that happens behind closed doors.

You heard it from her grandson: this is what we lived through. If you want more info, sadly you’ll probably only learn the truth when your loved one is already gone. I didn’t have the money, power, or connections to get her out or sue. My heart is drowning in the why — why I couldn’t do more to save her.

Shenandoah Ridgeview failed my grandmother and failed our family. Do NOT trust them with your loved ones.
