My mother moved into the Independent Living in 2017, at that time we were extremely happy and the administrator, Jennifer, promised us the moon and stars. Since that time, Jennifer has become more and more rude and condescending every time I have had to talk to her. After a few recent hospitalizations, I reached out to Jennifer to get information on moving mom to the Assisted Living. After a week of ignoring my texts and phone calls, Jennifer had to call be about a different issue and when I brought up the Assisted Living she became even more rude that in our past encounters. I had told her mom had enough funds to pay privately at the Assisted Living level for 12-18 months, depending on the increase in charges, and she informed me that MJ required 3 years of private pay before accepting public assistance, and even then it was not a guarantee. When I questioned this, after PAYING FAITHFULLY FOR THE PAST 8 YEARS... Jennifer snidely giggled and said "oh my, is the full moon still in effect?" She then informed me she will talk to Managment and she will call me back "why your attitude is better". Seriously?!? I am in healthcare, I have been an ALF Administrator and I am a nurse... I have NEVER been treated so poorly or rudely in all of my life! I would NEVER, EVER recommend Richmont to ANYONE after being treated this poorly after 8 years!!! If I could give negative stars, I would.

My Grandmother lived here for years and she loved it. It’s an extremely nice retirement home with tons of activities, a movie theater, a game room, a large dining area, great housekeeping and even excursions out.
