They are good to my FIL and are super nice to us when we’re there. It does have that smell all these places have, which can make me gag (but in fairness I’m menopausal and all smells get me) and they are super nice even when I puke in the trash but the nurses there are so kind and loving. My FIL’s clothes and remote to his TV go missing all the time, but I don’t think it’s the nurses would ever do that. It’s really kind there.

My 98 year old bed-ridden mother has been an inmate at RCI for over a year. She is missing several pieces of clothing although all of them have her name marked in them. She is missing her hearing aids even though she can’t get out of bed. Her replacement hearing aids were found in the laundry room. I’m sure she didn’t take them there. The administration maintains she can hear ‘just fine’. I hope when I’m 98 someone doesn’t claim my hearing is fine. My mom’s room is always messy and dirty and has swarms of flies. I suppose that’s ’just fine’ too. Night and weekend staffing is always lacking. Pray there isn’t a fire! The administration seems to be in denial. My request for better service was greeted with arguments about how great a job they’re doing. I couldn’t disagree more. I’m in the process of transferring her to another facility. If you visit RCI go in the evening or on a weekend to see the level of staffing and the resulting or expected level of care…
