I want to share something important with my community, especially for anyone who has loved ones in assisted living or receiving in-home care.<br><br>Over the past several days, my family has been advocating for an elderly woman who has no family in Marietta who is currently under the care of Regal East Cobb and a healthcare agency called Brilliant Care Solutions LLC.<br><br>What we have personally witnessed and experienced has been deeply concerning.<br><br>• Care that was supposed to include basic support like meals, hygiene, and transportation has not been consistently provided<br>• We have reason to believe there has been financial exploitation and inappropriate pressure placed on her regarding control over her finances and property. The have attempted to force her to sign over power of attorney and have attempted to sell her house and vehicle. She has vehemently stated that she doesn’t want to sell either but has the financial means to pay for her care.<br>• She has expressed that she does NOT want to be on hospice and wants medical treatment, yet she remains on hospice care<br>• When she signed a statement requesting help and support, we were asked to leave, and concerning statements were made to her minimizing her requests for care<br><br>When we attempted to raise these concerns and advocate for her, we were met with resistance and were even prevented from returning at one point.<br><br>This situation has been reported to the appropriate authorities, and we are continuing to take steps to ensure her safety and well-being.<br><br>I am sharing this not to create drama, but to urge families to:<br>✔️ Stay actively involved in your loved one’s care<br>✔️ Ask questions and review all documents before signing<br>✔️ Watch for signs of pressure, isolation, or sudden changes in care decisions<br>✔️ Speak up immediately if something feels wrong<br><br>DO NOT COME HERE. Due to me advocating and getting her out of their facility, I was criminally trespassed. They were forcing her to stay on hospice though she was asking for care! Horrible how they are doing these people and this was at the director level!!!

The "director" isn't helpful, some aids have bad attitudes, you can't understand their "English." Lots of families feel the same. You can't speak up or they kick you out. All lip service, shiny exterior hides serious internal issues. We moved out because too many things they wouldn't fix.

We re so pleased with the staff that interact with my mom everyday . Deborah- the ED- is a great advocate for residents and the activities team of Danielle, Karen and Lynn make every day fun! Margaret is an amazing caregiver … so many others who are caring and compassionate too!

Maeisha is Amazing!<br>Maeisha is such a pleasure! She is an awesome addition to the community! She’s always friendly, professional, and willing to help with anything you need. You can tell she truly cares about the residents and goes the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. Her positive attitude and kindness make a big difference every day. So thankful for her!

The help have not been nice to our loved one, disrespectful, too. They talk down to the person. The food is usually cold and they run out of items all the time. It's way too salty, and everyone complains about it. Still, nothing changes. The resident counsel meetings are a joke. Residents clothing is lost all the time, the bus is broken down, the elevators don't work. There are so many known problems with the food service/dining room. The parking lot is small, and usually full, so there's no place to park. Don't be fooled by the nice appearance of the place. It is poorly run and management is weak. Quinton is of no help.
