There are some very mention worthy staff at Crestwood: Jamie in MC, Joel (who I’ve begged to switch to MC!), Yolanda in activities, and the director and front office staff talk to and love on my mom when we walk in and out and call her Ms. Fancy! But the facility is old with revolving staff as it’s a hard to employ environment. Getting communication -especially from the third party medical staff that visit patients there is a constant challenge. Mom has only Medicare and Medicaid so my expectations were low going in. (Sorry to say but I’ve work in the system myself). With that said I’m overall very pleased by the level of care mom receivers on the day to day.

This facility is our only option in Valdosta and I truly regret that. You can't speak to anyone who has any kind of real authority and when you leave MULTIPLE voice messages they don't call you back. They don't call you about a serious issue until your loved one is on the way to the hospital. If you do not live in Valdosta and can't go to the facility to check on your loved one multiple times a week...DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY, IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE. I would give them 0 stars but it's not an option.

Mom moved into Memory Care a week ago and so far we are very pleased! Sure the building was built in 1964 so it’s not sleek. But let me tell you about charge nurse Tracy. Late in the day housekeeping had left and mom had a toilet issue. I told Tracy about it and she said she would find someone. As I walked mom back to her room from visited in the courtyard Tracy was scrubbing mom’s toilet! I said to mom “look mom! Charge nurse Tracy is cleaning your toilet!” And Tracy said she will do anything needed for her residents!
