Extremely positive experience recently for my wife and I; I can’t say enough good things about the way she was treated. Everyone was very professional, but also friendly and very caring. I had heard good things about PVL previously, but until my wife was there I didn’t realize how well they handled all the challenges they face every day. In particular I was impressed and grateful for Ashley the social director, who took care of the paperwork, the insurance company, and all my daily problems and questions, the physicians asst. Chris— great bedside manner and very professional, the therapy department—— Gilbert, Michael, and the Taliani girl—- who did much with a very challenging patient, Sally the housekeeper, all of the girls on the floor but especially Kristy, who went above and beyond. We lucked out when we were able to get in to PVL for my wife’s rehab.

My mother was a short time resident of Pleasant View and I can’t say enough good things about the staff.<br><br>Her room was always clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and very attentive.

There is just one thing I disagree with how they do something, and that is that they wash all residents clothing together. When you first get there they ask you to label your clothing peices with your name, but that doesn't really matter because clothing peices get lost or misplaced to someone else's room, my husband had someone else's pants and also was missing a pair of his pants and a few pairs of his socks are missing. Also washing all residents clothing together (in my personal opinion) is not sanitary because you don't know what other people have, such as diseases or anything. Washing residents clothing separate from others would help to eliminate all of that because then you'd know which load of laundry belongs to which residents. Other than that everything else is fine.

I would highly recommend this facility in Ottawa! My mom was transferred here after a major back surgery! Mary Williamson went above and beyond to get her transferred ASAP from a different facility! The staffing on the rehab floor was great and ready to help as soon as we arrived! I was happy as was she with her stay and care! Thank you again 3rd floor staff for being you!
