Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has been a wonderful forever home for my Mom. The Directors, Aministration Team, Nurses, Social Workers, CNA' s and other Staff have went beyond and above to make sure that my Mom is doing okay as well as the other Residents the best to their ability. I will always see Riverside in a positive light simply because they took really good care of my Father when he was there and now I am trusting them with my Mom's care. Although some Nursing Homes get a bad review for not being perfect, I truly believe that Riverside is perfect enough for me and my family standards, and I am hoping that other families will give them a chance as well and know that Riverside is doing the best that they can for each Resident. Riverside Rehab Nursing home and Rehabilitation Center has many times over and over again have been superb in all of the things they have done for my Mom and continues to do for her over and over. I have witnessed that each resident gets treated with respect, dignity, and so much more. The entire Staff deserves their flowers on all levels. It takes a lot for them to do what they do and still have to go back home to their own families. As a matter of fact they have treated my Mom and other residents as if they are a part of their family as well. It disturbs me when I read a review that targets Riverside of being something else other than what the Facility is. Targeting Riverside in a negative way should never be targeted at a Facility that is there to help us care for our loved ones. Something so many of us truly appreciate beyond words. A lot of us work full-time jobs and etc, so knowing that our loved ones are safe and secure on all levels is definitely a love and gift from God. Families have to also help in their loved ones care as well, and that means put some time aside so that you can be part of your loved one's treatment plan. That is how it works to make sure that you stay connected to your loved one and the dedicated team of Riverside on all levels and all positions. It's our responsibility as a Family to make sure things are going as they should with our loved ones. If only a lot of families knew what it took for an entire Team to look after the residents, they would sympathize and appreciate all that they do day in and day out to care for our loved ones. I have witnessed it twice first with my Dad and now my Mom. I never thought I was going to have to place my Mom in a home other than mine, but unfortunately this was a decision by the family that we found best. We as a family have been overjoyed because we have made the right decision. Riverside is her home and the Staff from the Top Directors, Nurses, Doctors, Social Workers, Business Office, and etc have deserved me and my family's heart, love, support, respect, gratefulness and so much more. As a matter of fact I give them 20 stars 🌟 simply because they have all been in the trenches with my family and others. If for some reason, you feel like you must give a negative review, you may want to make sure that you and your family is actively involved with your loved one's treatment as well. This is how things work in a Nursing Home setting. It takes Families and the Staff working together, and this my friend is how you have a great experience with the Facility and your loved one who is being cared for. Dropping your loved one off and abandoning them for weeks and months at a time is not the key, Frequent visits will increase your loved ones recovery and just maybe make them feel like you actually are there for them while they are going through what they are going through. If you have not taken time out to check on your loved one in a while, of course you may assume the worse, simply because you have not been around to know that your loved one has changed with time, so depending on the change it may have you asking questions. As for me even with a full-time job, I make sure I set time aside to visit my Mom, not only to show her love and support, but to make sure that whatever she goes through she is not alone.

My sister stayed at Riverside for about 2.5 years. They were always remarkably hard to get ahold of. If they left a message, I would try to call back, but generally no one knew what the call was about. I got a variety of medical bills to my home, although she was a Medicaid patient for whom I had no financial responsibility; she had never lived at my home, so I still don't know why the bills were directed to me. When she died (after a couple of weeks in the hospital), I called to get information and had a hard time reaching anyone. When someone finally answered, they tried to pass me off to someone else's voicemail until I told them I needed the information for her death certificate. The only follow-up communication I received from Riverside was from a social worker letting me know she had some bags of belongings if we wanted to pick them up. No condolences. No expression of care whatsoever. Her passing confirmed my belief all along that they were technically taking care of her, but she really didn't matter to them.

They actually are responsible for my mom’s death. They refused to take her to the hospital even knowing they were responsible for her fall , many times over! I blame myself for now suing all of them!

My mother had rehab here following shoulder replacement surgery after a fall in 2011. She received wonderful care. In April 2021, she fell at home and broke her hip. At first, the hospital sent hert to Ignite for rehab. They did nothing for her, but waited until her Medicare ran out before saying "she needs skilled nursing." We went back to Riverside. Therapists worked hard with her, but when they tried to get her up with a walker, her fear of falling paralyzed her. She became a skilled nursing patient and remained there until her death in September 2022. Facilities were still dealing with COVID precautions, but staff accommodated my daily visits in the lobby. While I waited for an attendant to bring Mom from her room, I watched the mobile residents come and go, each greeted by name by staff, sometimes sharing jokes or stories. Eventually, I was able to visit Mom in her room or the dining room. Things were always clean. Staff members were always kind and helpful to Mom. She told one aide, "You're my favorite. I love you." I thought Mom received kind and loving care from everyone. Obviously, I hoped for a better outcome, that she would regain the ability to walk and return home. But through no fault of the staff, that didn't happen. They helped me make the best of things, and we found much joy in that last year, despite the difficult circumstances Don't judge a facility by how new and pretty it is. Look for love. If love isn't there, the other trappings don't matter.

This place is so under staffed, plus the staff they do have are lazy & not certified! They left my granny in a room from 12 am to 9 am sitting in her own poop, said they didn't know cause the nurse light broken!! Really? You still need to check on her. When we called to ask for a shower we spoke to Anna the head person she got angry that our granny got a hold of us and went and yelled at her! The state told us this place is under investigation be aware!!!
