I am so pleased with the level of care that my father received in the memory care unit. The nursing home is always clean, the patients are well cared for, and the entire staff is amazing. My family and I were always kept informed and always had the opportunity to ask any questions we had. They made the entire process painless, even after his passing. I am so grateful to have found them.

I can't say enough good about the staff at Penacook Place! My mother was a resident from November 2024 to December 2025 before she passed. She received the best care imaginable! I can't thank the staff at 3 North enough for all they did. Personally, I would like to thank Crystal, Sarah, Snow, Patricia, and the countless other staff members who cared for my mother. The administration kept me well informed as to her needs. To say they have a difficult job would be an understatement. I saw them deal many times with less than cooperative residents and each time it was with kindness and patience! I will be forever in their debt and I thank you so very much!

A family member was here back in 2018 and it was a horrible place. She was in pain. She needed her medicine. She hit the call button. It would take a long time for somebody to come into the room. They would also leave her sitting on a bed pan for hours at a time The room would smell of urine. It was also Very dirty, looking and outdated

There are some caring people who work here, but the management is pretty awful. In the many months our family member was there we saw a serious shortage of staff resulting in patient needs unmet. Multiple times there were not enough staff to feed all the residents who needed assistance. The food which should have been warm was usually cold by the time the patient received it. Residents who ate in the common room had only one or two staff monitoring them. Bedridden individuals often had very long wait times to get assistance. At one point it was obvious our family member had not had their hair washed in weeks. After we made it known this was a problem things got somewhat better but we had to stay on top of it and repeatedly remind the staff.that this was needed. On the positive side there are some nurses and aides that are quite caring. Unfortunately the good ones are spread way too thin. I’m not a psychologist but it appears that a number of the staff have just given up trying to do a good job. I honestly believe in a facility with better care our loved one likely would have lived longer, or at a minimum they would have lived better. Overall the place is poorly managed. I would not recommend putting a loved one here.
