After 20 months of my family and I caring for my Mother who has severe dementia, we were able to place her in the Memory Care unit at Pelican Pointe. The process was a little bumpy at first, but Reyna and the Staff helped us the whole way and smoothed the transition. In fact, the day we moved her in was seamless because of Reyna and the Staff's efforts. We left Mom there for ten days without contact with us to allow her to acclimate to her new home. Reyna and the Staff contacted us twice during that time to let us know her status. Mom adjusted very well where she participated in all activities and was able to sleep throughout the night which she was not able to do often at my home. My family and I visit her 2 to 3 times a week and she is always happy. Everyone at Pelican Pointe knows and adores my Mom; they are so nice and do care about the patients. If we have any issues, we simply discuss them with the Staff and they take the appropriate actions. I feel that we have a positive working relationship with the Staff at Pelican Pointe in caring for my Mom.

Pelican pointe went above and beyond for my dad and our family. My dad was out of state in the hospital and was place on palliative care and needed transitioned to hospice care. Their admissions director Reyna went out of her way to call the hospital and transportation agency to align schedules, ensure my dad would be comfortable the entire ride and that my mother could accompany him. They did that and so much more! Reyna called every few hours to check in and see how things were going. Fast forward to our arrival Reyna, nurses and so many other staff were waiting at the front doors for us. They explained everything in detail of what the plans were and everything they did while it was happening. No stone was left unturned. The care was spectacular and the building was full of staff that met you with so much love! My mom spent many days there and even with her own memory loss they treated her like family and helped care for her when she lost her way. I highly suggest this building. They gave my dad so much dignity and quality of life in the time he was there.

My husband was a resident here for a little less than a year. This building has been through it all but they still managed to listen to us and every need was met with so much love. In his final days there were nurses, assistants and management staff checking in on him and our family. They honored his life and our family. Thank you to all the staff. I can’t recommend this facility enough.

My father recently passed away at Pelican point. He was in the men's unit for approximately a year. He received great care while he was at pelican point. They always called me right away When he would have a changing condition, he was always clean. His room was clean. His bedding was always clean if there was something I noticed that I wanted done. They were prompt to get it. Taken care of. I think they enjoyed taking care of my dad as much as he enjoyed being there with them. Thank you to Sonny and Jan. 2 of the main nurses that took care of him. I think Kim took care of him. There were some great cnas back there. All I can say is, thank you to all of you who took care of my dad, Garry, Mathews till the end of his days.I appreciate all you've done for him Stacie Mason RN

My 83-year-old mother recently spent close to a month at Pelican Pointe, where she was recovering from foot surgery. Having never been in a rehab setting, it was a difficult transition for her. Initially, there were a few things that were issues. However, upon communicating those issues, each, and every issue was resolved to the extent it was possible. The staff listened to our concerns, and made clear, concerted efforts to improve the situation. We felt listened to, and my mom received some wonderful care during a difficult time in her life. It is not a fancy facility, but there are people there who genuinely care.
