Nice place and clean but the food could use an upgrade. Grandad hates it.

The rehab staff was amazing. FIVE STARS. Most were wonderful with my dad and they were very willing to take suggestions on how to help him with his dementia to make his recovery easier. The administration and billing departments, on the other hand, are completely disorganized and inept. After coordinating several times about my dad's discharge, come the day, no one had any discharge orders on file and we spent HOURS with the nursing staff, who despite it not being their job, helped us get him discharged. I was invoiced for treatment that I understood to be covered by Medicare. I paid it based on the explanation that it was the extra 10 days worth of copay that our insurance wouldn't cover only to find out (through an EOB) that our insurance HAD ALREADY PAID it. Now, the facility has been double paid. The person with whom I spoke with on a Monday guaranteed a follow up by Friday. I let it go until the following Thursday and now, I'm only getting voicemail and disconnected numbers. No one seems to know who the director is or how to get in contact with billing and I'm left without any recourse aside from becoming a nuisance (my time and energy spent) and trying to get the insurance company involved. All I can say is don't pay any invoice until you've talked to the insurance company or Medicare because it doesn't seem like anyone in charge knows what's going on.

After falling in my apartment and not being found for 5 days it's the wonder I'm alive. I have been home 6 days now and I better than what I was before I fell, a huge thank you to Jenna and Rebecca PT and OT for pushing me so I could get home this fast.

My mom was in Columbine Rehab for close to 2 months after a fall. The nursing/medical staff and PT/OT departments were extremely caring, loving, supportive and gave her the hope that she needed to do the work and get herself home. They will be lifetime friends.

Columbine Commons was a true blessing during one of the hardest times in our lives. My husband had Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s dementia, and the staff cared for him with so much compassion and respect. Nurse Leroy was especially helpful — always calm, patient, and kind. JoJo, Kristi, and Diane (the charge nurse) were also wonderful, treating my husband with such genuine care. The dining staff was fantastic too, especially when our grandchildren visited — they went out of their way to make family time possible. I’m so grateful for the kindness and support we received. It made all the difference. -Dodi Banker and family
