I believe their lack of consistent care to their in house clients is due to inability to hire enough reliable staff and the rest is upon individuals hired whose hearts are no longer in their work or they never had a heart for this type of work and look at it with only a paycheck in mind. Leaving people with internal catheters unflushed on a regular basis or not getting medication in timely manners is not acceptable care. Some clients are not mobile enough or mentally able to express their needs and be their own advocates. This leaves full rain for non compassionate aides and nursing staff to say whatever they want in front of patients, argue with them and say snide remarks like well you are welcome if the patient doesn't praise them for what they did do. They also complain infront of patients about their work load. 2 showers added to their shift throws them for a loop. It is a shame all around. We must do better at seeking and securing more and better employees some how. Employees who want to do this type of work.

No one should be in this place. My step father was in there only because we couldnt get him in anywhere in a hurry after he got out of the hospital. He passed away today and when we went there to see him one last time i was discussed with the stuff i saw. I wasnt very close to him so i didnt visit much but i the floors looked like they havent been cleaned in weeks, the window in his room had rot in the window frame, the sink in his bathroom was just nasty. We couldn't get any help with boxes or bags to start gathering his belongings. We were unable to find his wallet at all l, asked a nurse and they didnt know. They had very little Christmas decorations up for the residents and it was very depressing. When leaving i saw a roach in the hallway. I tried to get a picture but one of the nurses saw it and made it disappear before i was able to get a picture.

Thank you is not enough to the staff at Pearl Pavilion for the kind, compassionate, excellent care Doris Buttel received as she transitioned to Jesus this morning. We were faced with the decision to place her in a nursing home this past week- after 18 years of promising her that I’d take care of her at home I couldn’t continue- I’m a Registered Nurse (at Pearl and a local hospital), have a large family, etc. SHE chose Pearl as she knew she would receive great care there- and she did!!! I’m so proud of the staff that I work alongside. Thank you Kelly Schultz for making sure this was a smooth transition/admission for us! Doris went to Jesus this morning exactly how we wanted- very comfort and peaceful. I’m forever grateful ❤️.

At Pearl we treat all residents with dignity and respect. Our staff look forward to seeing the residents and assisting them. I have seen first hand how staff from every department at Pearl deeply care for residents and give themself to the care of those who need to be cared for now. I strongly disagree with the previous review of Pear Pavilion and what I care about personally. That review does not reflect Pearl Pavilions well.

We can set up a time to meet and work through any difference there may be. Mike
