Incompetent help. They have hurt my husband several times. He has to have a catheter in his stomach because help stepped on his catheter and ripped it out with him yelling to stop. They left him in his lift above his bed for 2 hours while the battery charged. He has been filthy and the hospital turned them in. The hospital said they had never seen a patient from a rehab so dirty.

My Dad has been trying to survive here at this location for almost a year. My Dad tends to call me when there are extreme issues. There are severe HIPAA regulations that are not followed here 50% of the time. I brought it to the attention of the DON about a month ago and instead of being grateful, she jumped down my throat. She was extremely rude and very abrasive. She is extremely unprofessional a lot of different levels, including filing false reports against myself to the police department which is defamation of character and slander. In the last two months alone, he has experienced neglect from the staff and it has almost cost him his life. When I was alerted 3 weeks ago, I sent my brother an email telling him my Dad needed to go to the ER immediately, that email was dismissed. I also called the nurse and she told me she could not speak with me for some reason. I then called numerous times to alert them to call ER and nobody answered the phone. I should have called the ER myself, but I was not thinking clearly due to distress. I finally got the DON on the phone and all she wanted to talk about was the HIPAA stuff, as well as telling me how busy she was for the day, instead of listening to my concerns about his health conditions. Again, very unprofessional. He ended up having numerous blood clots in his left leg, as well as an aortic aneurysm and they DID NOT send him to the ER until over 24 hours later. Thank God he finally went! This week, the director of the facility decided to block me completely from seeing my father! Not sure why this decision was made other than the fact that I called the EMS myself and then headed out there directly. When I got there I went straight to his room to find out that he was already in the emergency vehicle on the way to the hospital. I was grateful for that and so I got a few things from his room that he needed and headed to the hospital. I got a call from the police department, again, stating that if I go on the property I would be arrested! Completely unprofessional from the director! I have done nothing wrong! They keep him drugged up on oxycodone and other things to try to keep him complacent. This has caused a lot of other issues emotionally and physically. The nurses typically neglect a lot of situations that are life-threatening! While he was at the hospital this last time, the doctor had stated that he had broken his ribs recently. He did have a fall a couple months ago against a dresser at the nursing home. They claimed to have done an x-ray and that his ribs were fine. Clearly they were not! I wonder now if they even did the X-ray. Do not send your loved one here! As far as the defamation of character towards myself, I might be bringing this up in court. Keeping me from my father at the end of his life is wrong! This is where he lives currently and I should be able to visit him with my children! If they were more concerned about my father's health conditions, instead of their egos, things would be very different! What code of ethics are they following? Didn't they take an oath to do no harm?! Why are they filing false accusations against myself instead of taking care of the patients that are living there?! Update: 6/21/25 My children and I went to visit my father yesterday. We spent the 2 hours that we were there trying to wake him up. He would open his eyes and then close them and go back to sleep. Very little conversation. Come to find out they gave him hydrocodone and Xanax at the same time at 9:30 a.m. this was 2:00 to 4:00 that we were there in the afternoon. Looking this up on the internet, it is severely recommended to not do this with these medications. These should not be taken together at the same time! The spirit of death was in the room, and I prayed it off! Thank you Jesus! Also, I have noticed that some of these reviews are from the people that actually work here.

Absolutely great place! My dad has felt so at "home" and is super active in all the group times offered. He has made so many friends, and loves the staff. I also have enjoyed meeting his friends. Alison D. and her staff have been SUPER. Stacey is a wonderful resource for social work help for my Dad. Christine, Dave, and Jimmy and so many more staff members have been GREAT! During this rough time for my Dad, Parkway has been a blessing. So grateful to know Dad is in safe place that is friendly!
