I would like to say I really appreciate the staff here. Ms. Jasmine the director Shanika are amazing souls. My mom has been with them for 1 year and I can't say enough about how the team of providers have cared for my mom. They are patient and understanding. I needed help with my mom after she transitioned and moved in with me from Mississippi. I honestly pulled over one day just to see what they offered and the rest is a story still evolving with laughter, crying and compassion. The fees and prices are better than any other facility we looked into and I must say they care more about taking care of residents and helping families find comfort in knowing our loved ones are safe and happy. Love them ❤️

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Very unprofessional management team. Insufficient number of staff to support the residents. My parent moved into Parkside (formerly Oaks at Snellville) nearly one year ago. This is one of the worst assisted living facilities that I have ever encountered. Parkside does not have automatic wheelchair accessible doors, so wheelchair bound residents are constantly struggling to navigate their way out the door into the garden area. My mother's caregiver and I have both assisted a wheel chair bound resident enter and exit doors, because the facilty does not have automatic doors. Today, a wheelchair bound resident was in the lobby with his shorts half-way down, partially exposing his undergarments/diaper. When I notified a staff member, I was reminded that Parkside is merely an assisted living facility, and that she would have someone assist the resident. She then pushed the resident onto the elevator and walked away. When I attempted to report my concerns to the staff at the front desk, I was basically disregarded. The residents also do not have an internal method to contact staff during an emergency situation, because the emergency call buttons have not worked for the past two months, since Parkside took over the facility. Once when visiting my parent after 9:00pm, a wheelchair bound resident frantically waived me down and requested assistance. I had to push her to the lobby area where I found a staff member on the computer. That resident has since moved. I have reported several my concerns to management without receiving an adequate response, and without any substantive changes being made. Parkside did paint and fix up the parking lot, however, they did not fix the call buttons, nor have they made the doors wheelchair accessible. Finally, I received notice that my parent's rent is increasing from $3,000 to $4,500 next month. I honestly did not want to write this negative review, however, I am very disappointed in the poor quality of care, the unprofessional management team and the 50% rent increase that came with the change in ownership. I have reported my concerns to the Gwinnett Ombudsman. I am hoping that someone will investigate asap. In the meantime, I have given notice that my parent is moving in 30 days. Please research this place very carefully before moving your parent in.

OMGOODNESS the BESTest place ever! Mom has been in 2 other facilities since 2016. The first one she stayed at for 5 Up and Down years of service. She escaped twice and I won't even mention the rest. Needless to say, they shut down... with little notice. The second place, I thought she was IT! Not even a year later...Chaos! Resident care seem to be lacking as well as the bldg... then mom fell...from losing her "balance" turning around. 🤔🤨 Not on my watch! Got mom OUTTA there. From Conyers to Johns Creek to RIGHT UP THE STEET! TEN minutes away🥰 What a God Send...Oaks at Snellville is SO WONDERFUL. Smooth Sailing since we've been here. Everyone is on it. They are informative on every level. The Monthly Calendar 🔥 The STAFF 💙 The Chef/Food 😋 The Activities/Outings 👏🏽 The communication is on point. Moms daily nurses😍💖 The financial 🤑 Did I mention the Security of the place?👌🏽👍🏽 The Director, Natasha🫶💌, as stressful as it is to hold a place together... she's got it in the bag, for YEARS! Dealing with Dementia is hard enough to COPE. BUT, Coming here to Oaks has been a great RELIEF😮‍💨 and a wonderful present from God. Im so happy to have found this place and HE made it possible for us to be here. I ask mom often, if she's happy there or if she wanted to leave...This is Mom's 🏡HOME. She has not ever said she wanted to leave. Honestly speaking... neither do I. BRAVO, Oaks at Snellville... ENCORE! ENCORE!<br><br>Well my mom has transitioned home and I couldn't have asked for a better place for her to have been. I am adding to my previous review because everything still stands, aside from the new Director Shaneka, who is now holding down leadership, just like Natasha did and is Such a pleasure. And OH YEAH, the new management team and name...Parkside Senior Living & Memory Care @Snellville, a REFRESHING NEW LOOK warming the atmosphere is transpiring. I am so glad God directed me to this place. I haven't regretted not one moment, old or new. To pick out my favorite staff member, I cannot. There are so many wonderful people there that actually care and I'd hate to forget one. Let me give you MY moms goto regulars- Antrina, Idella, Shantell, Marie, AnnMarie and Leonie. Them there my gurls💙 so caring and loving. There are many others, but these ones probably stick out the most cuz they dealt with mom EVERY DAY, AND they are still there from Day One! The love is all over the building and not just memory care/dimentia or just assisted living.-It starts at the front door/phone, Jasmine.😊 and flourished throughout even in the kitchen there's love, and not just in the making of the food! OH let me not forget the Activities Director Contrina, bomb.com keeping them residents busy. Go get yourself a tour today. They won't disappoint, its not all Fluff with them. They the real deal. Im a witness. Thank you guys for helping to give my mom such a wonderful last few years. I miss her.💔 I miss you guys too.😪

I am a current resident. Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. The facility is well done and organized. Leadership is responsive and friendly, especially Courtenay.
