We transferred my mother here last week to stay and build some strength after leaving the ER before coming home to do at home care. Although staff was nice, the facility was depressing. The room was smaller than a 15x 15 storage locker. There were no clear instructions and staff would keep their head down even if you were standing in front of them for assistance. OT/PT schedules, nursing and medicine schedules were all over the place on times and explanation. We could look past those things. However, Sunday evening at 10 pm no nurses were in the rehab facility, also expressed by the tech on duty. Night medication was never on schedule or time and when asked for a nurse, my mother was told there was not one in the building. This is understandable, that on a weekend a nurse may cover both facilities and not be immediately available, however the miscommunication from the tech, the worry caused to my mother on no explanation or schedule was too much for us to take and we decided to discharge her bc it was much safer at home. Additional chaos for the 5 days she was there included: Nurses from rehab facility gas lighting us to say a nurse was available at all times when they clearly were not - this was stated by the tech (staff) as well - upon discharge 3 medications were not given to us, so we had to discover this ourselves and drive an hour to go retrieve the important medication they forgot or give us - a motorcycle rally in the parking lot that was shut off for guest parking and patients, causing loud noises and major disruption for visitation. There were too many issues for a 5 day period for an elderly patient to jump through hoops and the staff to turn the issues back on to us. I do not recommend.
