The Parks Senior Living is a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Odessa, Texas, licensed for 90 residents. The community serves both independent and skilled nursing populations, with a dedicated rehabilitation wing.
Most families praise the facility's warm, family-like atmosphere and the visible leadership of administrator Alex Neth, who families describe as present and genuinely invested in resident wellbeing. Staff are consistently noted as compassionate and attentive, and the rehabilitation therapy department receives specific recognition for supporting residents' strength and independence. Families also mention the facility is clean and well-maintained. One family wrote that "the staff is incredibly warm, attentive, and compassionate, they treat every resident like family."
However, some residents and families report significant concerns. A small number mention issues with food quality (described as highly processed and fried), unresponsive maintenance (such as broken appliances not being replaced), and inconsistent responsiveness to call buttons and requests for assistance. These accounts are notably fewer than positive reviews but reflect experiences of neglect or unmet promises about care levels.
The Parks holds a 4.6 out of 5 Google rating across 111 reviews, indicating strong overall satisfaction, though families considering placement should inquire specifically about response protocols for assistance requests and the scope of services promised at admission.
