My mother was discharged because the facility couldn’t manage her behavior during a dementia-related episode. Throughout her short stay—less than two months—she was frequently moved from room to room and spent the majority of her time hospitalized. Despite this, they still collected payment and ultimately informed us she could not return.<br><br>There was also a serious incident where she became extremely lethargic while waiting for dinner in the dining room. Her blood pressure dropped dangerously low, below 80/60. I immediately notified the only nurse on the floor at the time, but she told me I had to wait for my mother’s assigned nurse to return. Fearing for her safety, I called an ambulance myself; otherwise, she could have collapsed or worse. Sadly, most of the staff seemed unwilling to help. However, there was one exceptional nurse who truly stood out, though I unfortunately don’t remember her name.
