My Grandmother was at OLC for years. Its very clean and the staff are wonderful. The food is good to. The Nurses and aids are caring and compassionate. Its a like a family. The Recreation Dept is outstanding and offer alot of programs. Rehab is great to. All the Departments care very much for the residents. I would put my own parents if I had to.

My Mom was here for over a month in the Bethany wing. I was pleasantly impressed with the cleanliness, the nurses and staff in this facility. Everyone I came in contact with was polite and professional. Thank you all for taking good care of our Mom.

I was pleasantly surprised by the care my son received at Our Lady of Consolation. He was treated with genuine kindness and dignity. The facility was clean, and the staff were warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to the RN Lauren of Bethany unit, for the extra-special attention to my son’s medical needs. Truly grateful for such excellent care!

We were a little skeptical bringing our grandma here after her procedure due to the reviews. However, a month later, we couldn’t be happier. The place is clean, decent food, and most importantly, the staff is amazing. My grandmas care taker Jene was fabulous! Words can’t describe how much she helped and cared for my grandmother, almost like her own family. She’s finally doing better thanks to the staff at this rehab (nurses, physical therapists, etc).

The rehab team is incredible but everything else is not. The bad nurses and CNA’s out number the good. If you love the person you are sending to this facility keep in mind that if they have dementia or are non verbal. They will sit in the cafeteria for 8 hours a day. Non verbal? In a wheelchair by the nurses station. My grandmother is allergic to Nickel which was in the staples they used for her surgery which everyone knew about. The problem was when she asked for the anti itch cream because she was itchy. They said ok and she got it the next day. Now my grandmother is a strong coherent able bodied woman. She was able to put herself in the wheelchair and go to the bathroom. Except the mean nurse took her wheelchair away and told her she couldn’t use it. Also, they do shows and she was in a unit that was a long distance away and she had someone bring her down in her wheelchair except “there weren’t enough aides available to bring her back” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Her arms were sore for 3 days after wheeling herself back. Not to mention that the nurse was rude and cold to my grandmother. When you are taking care of those who do not have daily visitors and do not have a voice. There is a level of compassion that one must have and once that compassion is gone, you should move to another field because it is the patients who suffer. This place is a terrible example of a rehab/nursing facility and it is part of Catholic Health services. Probably good because those poor patients need all the prayers they can get and I pray that they are investigated for neglect. A patient shouldn’t worry and have to apologize for “bothering” the nurse who is being asked for help. They threw my grandmothers clothes on the dirty floor and tried to get her to put them back on. Absolutely not, she has an incision that could get infected and the staff doesn’t care! They also leave patients on the toilet for 30 minutes yelling for help to get off.
