My friend has been in rehab there for almost 2 years and is getting no help for rehabilitation. They take her ssi and don't even let her out of bed. Years ago she shattered her lower leg but was always able to walk . The refuse to rehabilitate her. Im calling her insurance company to tell them they're being ripped off.

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize an outstanding Doctor physical therapist who truly made a difference in my mom’s recovery. When my mom was at OHCF, we were fortunate to find out that he would also be her physical therapist during her rehab stay. That continuity of care meant a lot to us. From day one, he was professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. He took the time to understand her condition and pushed her just the right amount to help her improve without overwhelming her. His knowledge and dedication really showed in every session. Thanks to his hard work and guidance, my mom is now doing significantly better and has made great progress compared to her prior level of function. We are beyond grateful for the care he provided and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of physical therapy.

Scabies alert. I received scabies well in there. Instead of treating me, they just put hydrocortisone cream on my rash. Never had a doctor come look at me. Doctor Ahmed the worst. He saw me for three minutes a day I was admitted. Four days later after not seeing a doctor I asked to see my doctor. I had to beg for four days and then tell them I was being medically neglected before he finally came back so I could find out what my diagnosis was and what we were going to do. When he finally came back for three minutes again, he talks so fast. I had no idea what he said. The helicopter was landing outside of my window and instead of taking a breath and waiting for the noise to stop. He started screaming to me to over. Take the noise from the helicopter. All he told me was he was a third generation doctor. Absolutely horrible bedside manner. As far as the food I am blown away that their director of food and beverage is actually licensed and college educated in nutrition because there’s absolutely zero nutrition in the food they serve. There was nothing fresh. The vegetables are so overcooked and soggy. Gerber could use them as baby food. Dinner one night consisted of a slice of pizza chicken noodle soup and canned pears. There is no choice on what you get to eat and there is nothing nutritious. No fresh fruit no fresh vegetables and nothing but carbohydrates. I’d like to see the Director of food and beverage. Sit there and eat the meals because he wouldn’t. The only positive thing I can say is the nurses and the staff. Besides, the doctor were phenomenal. They went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of me.

We stopped by Okeechobee Health Care Facility without calling ahead-unannounced. The building looks older from the outside, but inside it was very clean and orderly. The staff we passed in the halls were professional and busy with their care. Overall, it made a very good impression on us. If you’re considering a place for a loved one, it’s worth dropping in to see for yourself. - a place where people really care.

The Nurses/Staff took such wonderful care of my Mom for the last 4 years . They made me feel at ease knowing she was safe in their care. My daughter & I always felt so welcome when we would visit my Mom. It was the cleanest Nursing Home I’ve been in. My Mom recently passed away and we miss her so much and we will miss seeing all the employees who were always so caring & helpful through a time in my life that was very hard. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the care & love you gave to my Mom Sally Price. Our family appreciates you all so much ❤️ With Love, Kimmie and Family
