I forgot something very important from my previous review. When Sue called me and scolded me for texting my caregiver originally, Latifa, my caregiver called me and told me to save her number and to call her ANYTIME. She said I’m your neighbor. She stated that if ever need anything text me. She said I’m right next door and if you need anything I could run over. Well that was too good to be true. I texted Latifa about a work related question and she never answered me. So the next morning is when Sue scoled me for texting my caregiver when she said literally text her anytime. I didn’t ask Latifa for her number. I told her this but she didn’t care at all. She just went on scolding me. Listen I got the number from somewhere. I get it. Do not text caregivers but I would never of texted her If she didn’t give me her number. I said maybe you should talk to Latifa. She scolded me for a good 5 minutes. So I did not want Latifa coming any longer. I don’t know why she did this then get me in trouble. Immediately after I got off the phone with Sue, a mass text went out to all employees saying do not give your phone number to clients. Some are “mental unwell”. Of course I believe they were talking about me since it went out as soon as I get off the phone with Sue. I saw the text from 2 different caregivers. Last night I got a text from a strange number. This is what made me remember this. Saying hi Karen this is your neighbor. So now I know Latifa gets so friendly with all her clients and calls them all her neighbor. She must be the caregiver for this area. She even said this is Latifa. I looked at the prior texts and there it was, my text. So Latifa is still keeping clients number and texting them and they are texting her back when I got yelled at for texting and was called “mentally unwell”. I said to Latifa why are you texting me. You got me in trouble. Then she realized who it was so she blocked me. I don’t know what I ever did to this company. I was only with them maybe two months when I couldn’t take the grief. No clients deserves this treatment. They didn’t even know me especially the office staff. They judge people and treat them accordingly. I don’t think they liked me because I wasn’t elderly and I wouldn’t let them walk all over again. I have been with a few different companies trying to find the right caregivers. This is hands down the absolute worst company I ever worked with hands down. Do not work with Ofemz. There are much better companies than this one who treats someone like this and I’m disabled. They were suppose to be here to help me and all they did was hurt me.

I had a horrible experience with Ofemz. The scheduler Ruby is so rude and unprofessional. Every other agency I worked with never did this but this company changes the schedule weekly when I always had the same care giver and the same hours each week before. She texts the schedule which seems unprofessional. So I was constantly checking my text to see who was coming over and when. You can also text them back. Everytime I requested a day or a certain caregiver, Ruby would say I can’t make any promises. So they don’t really accomodate your schedule. I would text and the company not once returned my messages unless it was them telling me they can’t promise anything. They made the schedule to accomodate their caregivers and to give them the hours they wanted. They insisted I needed 6 hours a week when I only needed 4. 6 hours is a lot for me and I voiced my concerns and I would be ignored. It was their way or no way. Finally my caseworker called them so I could get the schedule I needed and the hours I needed. I’m not sure why they couldn’t work this out with me instead of ignoring me. I voiced a concern about a caregivers odor. It was like something I have never smelled before and it was awful. Unbareable. You couldn’t smell it unless you were up close. I wanted it to be an anonymous concern but Ruby insisted that they bring her in & tell her my concern & if she wanted to know who told them then they were “obligated” to tell her. This is false. They are not obligated to provide a name when it’s anonymous. I did like the girl and she was the only girl that could work on Saturday. So I said fine Just send her and I won’t have her shower me. Well Ruby gave me no one on Friday so Saturday, I needed a shower. I had assumed they talked to her. She smelled awful again. Her hair would always be greasy. So I texted Ruby if she spoke to her about her hygiene. She ignored me so I called her and she wouldn’t answer there either. I got a hold of her and she said I never made a complaint. She was yelling at me and said well no one had every made this complaint before. It was seriously concerning. I couldn’t believe she was lying like that. So she was making me out to be a liar. I voiced my concern again so she took her right off my schedule so I had no one on Saturday. My personal opinion, she shouldn’t be employed at any agency where she has to deal with people especially a care giver agency. No client deserves that treatment. One day I got a call & it was from Sue & she scolded me about texting a caregiver. The caregiver was my neighbor and said take my number and if you need anything just text me. So I asked her a work related question and the caregiver told them I was texting her and I’m not sure what else she told them. I said well maybe you should be talking to your caregiver Latifa. I worked with the caregiver I wanted, Breanna. I really liked her a lot. We got along so well. Since I felt comfortable with her, I wanted her permanently. Once I got her, things changed. She would come to work in her pjs and plop right on my bed with me. She would talk and watch tv. Everyone knew she was working but they were always calling. I had to ask her to not be on her phone. She would do the bare minimum which took 5 minutes to a half hour. I never said anything because I hate confrontation and because I asked for her. Then the day after I had surgery? She called out for the next 5 days I had no one. They employ only a few girls so they never had a replacement for me. It was started to cause me a lot of anxiety. I wasn’t going to say anything to the agency at all after the run ins I had with them previously and not taking me seriously plus yelling at me. I ended up going with a much better company and I was with Ofemz for only two months. They also don’t do background checks on their employees.
