SHE CALLS IT HOME
My mom chose to move from the family farm to Oak Pointe of Carthage 6 1/2 years ago. We have never once heard her wish she was somewhere else. She calls it home and will brag about how good her life is.
We watch the staff smile and do their work with kindness and professionalism even during stressful times.
Being retired from a career in healthcare, I understand the nature of the job, from the stresses to the rewards. We have seen many staff changes throughout the years, as my mother-in-law was a resident even before my mom. They are far from perfect and would tell you so. However, we’ve never seen them give up or misdirect any frustrations they may be experiencing toward their residents whom they serve.
My mother’s dementia now takes her to some very dark places at times. They love and guide her through those. They are her safe place, and my mother loves them for it.
Thank you Oak Pointe.
Dana Cook

This facility is great, amazing people, there were a few that fell short of that but no longer work there. The ones that do work hard and are apriciated. Everyone is friendly and works together to give the absolute best care each amd every resident deserves.

Odd how my daughter is trying to call through to see when she can pick up her check and the phones are oddly disconnected.
