This hospital and a special surgeon saved my life in 1977. It's had it's ups downs but has always been here for our community. Everyone thinks by driving or flying away they will find better healthcare. That's not true. You will find specialized care you can't get in Havre but most of the time quality is about the same. Yesterday I had minor surgery. This is my second surgery of that procedure. The first has stood the test of time and I'm sure this one on the other side will as well. The staff was excellent, fun and professional. Many were former classmates or children of classmates. They make our community and it's one that I love. My sincere thanks to everyone in the surgey unit of Northern Montana Hospital for a excellent experience. Your as professional as any care I've received in hospitals from Boston to here and you were a whole lot more fun.

I’ve delivered two babies at this hospital. I absolutely love all the labor and delivery nurses and doctors. They’re in the process of remodeling the rooms and it looks much better! I’ve also had to take my son to the ER once, wasn’t impressed with the care. He had a fever at home, we were told by our PCP if it got over 102 to bring him to the emergency room as he also had a rash. We gave him Tylenol, brought him in (1 hr drive) and was told, well he doesn’t have a fever now, throw that thermometer out and buy a new one”.

The place is dirty and unsanitary. Apparently blood splatter in an ER exam room is acceptable practice. Staff shrugged when I pointed it out

Had to go in for colitis enteritis and was told come back if it got worse. Went back in and was set in a chair and ignored for over 1.5 hours. Told the nurse i couldn't set up anymore after she was being very rude and told her i would just go home. She turned to the dr and said hear that she wants to leave. They laughed then said perfect after i went back to the room to wait for discharge she wouldn't come in so i walked out. Told I'm faking this even though ct shows i have the infection. How do you hire health care workers like this. Nurse was Janet and Dr was Smith. I'll be calling to make a formal complaint Monday I wish i could leave a better review but I've been in twice and basically treated like crap by the dr both times. The nurses are nice but when I'm really dehydrated and went in needing fluids and the dr told them that he wasn't going to bother with fluids because i was so dehydrated they couldn't get a line then told me covid doesn't cause the issues and it had to be from me not taking pain meds that day. I can't even say anything to beg for treatment because they do not care.
