My sister was a resident at Newark Manor for more than 2 years. She recently passed away. She received so much love and care from all the staff aides, nurses and maintenances alike. The building administrator and Director of nursing were readily accessible and were there to pitch in and help when needed. The day my sister passed the staff went over and beyond to comfort and support me during that most difficult time. I will be forever grateful to the entire staff of Newark Manor.

A FAMILY member was there to receive therapy. Put in a room with an air mattress that didn't work a recliner that didn't work, a filthy bed side table ..it took 3 times to get a bed and chair that worked. We left the next day. Would have left that day but were told the bill would be the patients. He had to ask for wash cloths etc. Not to leave off the snarky nurse. No one made sure he got out of the building safely let alone to the car. I wouldn't put my pet rat there. Filthy place. Our loved ones shouldn't have that kind of treatment. I heard that someone complained and they were given a gift certificate for $50.00. Same on them. ps if I could I wouldn't even give them one star.
