I'd would like to say I haven't been to this hospital in a long times a few years actually till early today. I believe they have a great ER area and very professional, helpful, and friendly employees. They saw me in no time after getting signed in I was also taken back to see a doctor and get help with the pain I was feeling before getting there to the hospital in no time as well. Thank you all at Kershaw Medical Center for your help and for your very helpful and professional employees.

I’m heartbroken and angry over how my uncle was treated while fighting stage four liver disease. The staff showed no compassion they wouldn’t even allow him to go to the bathroom. No human being should ever be treated like that, especially not someone in such a vulnerable condition. Thank God for my sister stepping in and making them check his ammonium levels becuase they never tested him 4 days being there fighting for his life, if it wasn’t for my sister calling his nurse to check it he wouldn’t have made it out of this , thank god he’s being treated at a different hospital that cares Medical University of South Carolina,Charleston, where he is finally being treated with dignity and care. Should be sued for the way the treated my uncle y’all need to do better people lives on the line if you don’t like your job quit!!!!!!

This hospital is where you go to DIE. My dad ended up in the ICU with post covid pneumonia. He was put into a medically induced coma to help ease the discomfort from the ventilator. After a couple of weeks they told me the prognosis wasn't good. I was told they did a thorough neurological exam (the "exam" was some doctor from another hospital on a video call telling the nurses what to do, no neurologist actually came to see him) and they determined that he was brain dead. They told me the machines were keeping him alive and that he had no brain function whatsoever and they kept urging me to make the decision to pull the plug or send him to a long term care facility to be kept on the vent but that there was no chance of him recovering. I asked the ICU dr. basic questions and she literally said she didnt know much about the brain. She's literally a medical doctor! I know more from watching Grey's Anatomy than she knew from 8 years of medical school. My gut told me to get a second opinion before making a decision. I wanted him to be transferred to Prisma in Columbia and they told me they couldnt transfer outside of the MUSC network (the first lie) and that other hospitals won't take patients they determined to be brain dead (second lie). We agreed on waiting a couple more days to see what happens (they had an attitude about me not going ahead and pulling the plug to free up a bed I guess). The day finally came that I needed to make the decision. I got a call that day that he miraculously woke up and was somewhat responsive! (Even though they determined brain death with their "neuro exam") I went to the head of the hospital and demanded he be transferred immediately. He did go to Prisma. It was a long road to recovery but he is now up walking, talking, and living life. If I would have taken their advice and did what they were pushing me to do, my dad would be GONE. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOSPITAL! If you order an family member end up here, do everything you can to get them out of there before it's too late!

I had a really great experience here yesterday for my knee surgery. The nurses are so professional and very nice. The entire staff from the nurses the anesthesia Dr's and of course Dr. Tran who performed the procedure, were amazing and caring. Thank you to all who were so accommodating and very pleasant to me from the time I walked in. Great hospital with great staff!

my family received great medical care from this small hospital. Don't listen to all the negative reviews, all hospitals have negative reviews. It's a hospital and they do triage of course. It's not a fast food restaurant where it's first come first serve. And also, listen to your doctors and be your own health advocate. You can't be taking your life for granted and then when you get sick, expect a hospital to bring you back to life 100% clean as if you are born again - it does not work like that! Anyway, yes I recommend this hospital
