Everyone has been so friendly and was able to witness the employees getting positive recognition from the admin team. Lots of smiles from staff and residents. Feels like a homelike environment ❤️

Where do I start. I was in this facility in the rehab hall for a broken leg for about 2 weeks and was unable to bear weight on it for 10 weeks. So I was completely dependent on the staff. My family and friends all lived a hour away from the facility. So they couldn't be up there in a minutes notice. I'd heard about all the rumors about nursing home neglect and the care being terrible but with me being in one for 2 weeks let me see firsthand that there far from just rumors. During my 2 week stay I would lay in my bed for over 2 hours having to go the bathroom. This happened constantly. Especially on the night shift. 80% of the time when I'd hit my call light no one would ever respond or it took over a hour. So I'f I'd took a fall and really needed someone I'd been out of luck. Multiple staff members yelled at me or talked down to me. With one staff member telling me to do it myself when I had to go to the bathroom. One staff member even told me she didn't have to respond to me. My daughter also witnessed elder abuse while coming to visit me. The administration is an absolute joke and don't let their fake smiles fool you. As soon as you take up for yourself for being mistreated your labeled disorderly or a problem. My family had to make numerous calls just to get someone in my room when I needed help because the call button never got anyone to my room. Once I was able, I started using my phone to get staff in my room because it'd been hours since I'd hit the call button and still no one came. This place is a joke. There were a couple nurses and cnas that were good to me but definitely not the majority of the staff. The physical therapy was really good but as a whole they failed me and tons of elderly patients daily. I can only imagine how they were treated when most of them couldn't advocate for themselves. Please do not let yourself or someone you love stay here. You will regret it. It's sad that when your at your most vulnerable people want to mistreat you and not talk to you with any respect and compassion. Do not let the fake good reviews on here fool you. I'm not sure how this place manages to have nothing but good reviews. Unless the facility is coming on here and posting them. I've learned the hard way through my ordeal nothing is impossible or too crazy to happen in healthcare.

‼️BEWARE‼️ If you love your family member, please think very carefully before placing them at this facility. During my grandfather’s stay, his health declined at a shocking and alarming rate. Within one month, he went from stable to critically ill. He appeared heavily medicated, stopped eating, and was not being monitored properly. Several times we weren't able to wake him up because he was so heavily medicated. He was ultimately rushed to the hospital non responsive with vital signs and oxygen levels critical. We were informed that by the time he was evaluated at the nursing home during his ONE WEEKLY CHECKUP, he was already "turning purple and black" words directly from the head of nursing. For him to already be changing colors on his extremities, that right there tells us HE WAS NOT BEING CARED FOR! He was being neglected! He entered this facility struggling to walk after back surgery just needing a little rehab. To leaving not able to even stand up, with pneumonia, deep bed sores, eye infections, a UTI, and several DEEP bed sores!!! (Because he was not being moved or cared for.) Left in a room unable to move and ignored by the ones who said they would care for him. As a family, we are devastated and deeply disturbed that his decline was not recognized and addressed sooner!! We tried many times to advocate but was told that they couldn't do anymore for him. We have repeatedly requested his medical records and have been met with delays and redirection instead of transparency. The paperwork has been filled out and signed but we've still yet to receive those records after being told it would only take 2 to 3 days to get to our email. Families should not have to fight for access to documentation regarding their loved one’s care!!! It is your right to have access to them! In our experience, this facility greatly failed to provide the level of oversight, attentiveness, and medical accountability that vulnerable patients deserve. If your loved one is currently here, please advocate aggressively for your loved ones and do not assume they are being closely monitored. If you are considering this facility please run far away and do not leave anyone in their care..

Mrs. Charmaine Brown was an answer to a prayer. Her kindness, her knowledge and her assistance in educating my sister and I once we had the need for a place for our mother was exactly what we were hoping to find. She thoroughly walked us thru the process and was there to answer any and all questions. The facility workers were kind and the place was clean.

My dad and stepmom were in this nursing facility for almost a year. They were treated well and loved a lot of the nurses and techs. My dad passed away in August of 2025 and staff members literally cried, they loved him. There was a little a problem with an over payment being refunded but the office personnel helped me navigate that. My stepmom was moved to another facility only because it was closer to her sons but she had a hard time adjusting at first. She said I loved some of those people and they loved us too. She missed the staff at Mt. Pleasant.
