Be present or don't do it. Unsafe patient handling, lack of proper medication. High risk factor unless you can be there constantly to oversee. The ones that are left alone are the ones that suffer.

Worse place to take your loved ones to. They never get their medications in time. The place is filthy, they are always short staffed and they do not care! Beware m! The quality of care here is the worse.

My father had been a pt there over a month. Food is horrible and meat can hardly be cut with knife. Myself and family would always bring him food and kept in refrigerator to hear and eat as wanted. Today I visit, dad couldn’t cut the chicken and peas were dried up and shriveled. I asked for foods to be heated up as always and was told no, pts could not have food microwaved, after doing it almost daily! My dad was hungry and he lost close to ten pounds but they are refusing to let him eat!! I called the state. So much of his clothes and other resident’s clothes missing as per multiple nurses statements. And the DOR who was just fired, let’s just say I can’t wait for the state to call me tomorrow.

My mom was in the Healthcare Center at Moravian Village for almost four years. For a treat on holidays I would take her to the large dining area on the other side of the building. She is in a wheelchair. Suddenly one day I was told she would no longer be allowed to dine there because she was in the skilled nursing part of the village. I was told the board or the council had voted on this. Literally I was stunned by this especially it being the Friday before Mother’s Day. I was told I could have take out which I paid for and use an area upstairs.
Sadly to say we have left and are onto greener pastures as they say after paying a great deal of money for her care.
I would just like people to be aware of this policy that exists at Moravian Village before bringing your loved ones here.
