It's better than it used to be but there are a few gentlemen, an I use the term loosely that are complete jerks. I witnessed them making fun of a disabled female

I fell and broke both of my shoulders. Dr Reddy did a fantastic job on both of them. I've had absolutely no issues with any part of my surgery. He explained everything to me in detail and made sure I understood what he was doing, and how it would be done. Healing well and my scars look great. He is now my ortho doctor. I would recommend him 100%. Love chatting with him and his staff is fantastic as well.

Worst ER staff in all of West Virginia.Montgomery has always been had and has always had a bad reputation, but this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had there. I brought my Mother in for severe emergency and she was having confusion because of the condition she was in. The young, skinny blonde nurse with the bedazzled watch, kept yelling at my mom for tensing her arm when she was jabbing, yes jabbing, the needle in to start an IV. She was told multiple times that my mom was having confusion and she was also in severe pain, not to mention she was being as aggressive as possible with the needle. I went to the doctor and head nurse crying and requested a different nurse. They asked why and I explained the nurse was repeatedly raising her voice at my mom but my mom was delirious and in excruciating pain and cannot help but to tense up when the nurse was was digging around with the needle. The doctor told me he would come into the room in just a moment to handle it. The nurse then got angry, told me she didn’t raise her voice, stripped her gloves off and said “someone else can come do it.” The nurse immediately turned right back around and said “We’re going to have you step out into the waiting room until we get everything taken care of.” I stated that my mom wasn’t competent to answer questions and tell them what’s wrong, not to mention she kept forgetting where she was and panicking. The nurse replied ”I know. But we’re still going to have you step out into the waiting room”. I hugged my mom and as I was walking to the waiting room, sobbing, the nurse then stepped into the hallway and said “We don’t have another nurse. Would you like to wait for one?” In a sassy tone. The head nurse and doctor told her to stop. So, all of that, just because I went to the nurses’ desk and asked the doctor and head nurse “Is there any way I can request a different nurse? Please? She keeps raising her voice and yelling at my mom to relax her arm and not to move it, but my mom is out of her head right now and in pain, she can’t help it.” Never going there again. They care more about pride than a patients wellbeing.

Montgomery General Hospital provides good medical care and has some truly professional, caring staff members who go above and beyond for their patients. However, the level of professionalism isn’t consistent across the board. While many employees are courteous and respectful, there are a few who could improve their attitude and communication with patients. Overall, it’s a decent hospital that does its job well, but a bit more consistency in professionalism would make the experience much better.
