Our family had a deeply troubling experience with this nursing facility regarding the care of my mother. We repeatedly raised concerns about changes in her condition and signs that she was not receiving enough oxygen, but we believe those warning signs were not addressed with the urgency they required. She remained in distress for more than eight hours before being sent to the hospital. My mother was hospitalized for several weeks and experienced cardiac arrest. She now has significant medical needs and has been transferred to another facility many miles away from our family. This has caused tremendous emotional distress, travel difficulties, and hardship for everyone involved. Before this incident, my mother could speak and advocate for herself. She is now unable to communicate as she once did, and our family is left questioning whether faster intervention could have prevented some of the harm she experienced. Families trust nursing facilities to monitor residents carefully, respond promptly to medical emergencies, and take concerns seriously. Based on our experience, we do not feel that happened for my mother. We are devastated by the outcome and believe this situation deserves a full investigation and accountability.
