My brother has only been there a week and the experience has been much more than we expected. The admissions and administrative personnel has been extremely helpful and compassionate. The nursing team and PT team are friendly and knowledgeable. The best choice I could of made. My brother has just been discharged and I wished to add to my review. In the 4 weeks he was he as thrived due to the excellent care he received there. From the desk entrance to the aides, nurses, PT and doctors along with the administration was a welcoming, friendly, compassionate atmosphere. They always asked what we needed. My brother said the the food was good and he was treated with respect and kindness. The adminstrater was always seen on the floor and was very kind and compassionate. ** one last note - my brother and my family agree this place is sooo clean. Without a doubt a great choice for your loved one.

Merwick Post Acute cared for my father during the advanced stages of his Parkinson’s disease and throughout his end‑of‑life journey, and I am deeply grateful for the compassion they showed him. The team consistently made him feel seen, heard, and treated with dignity at a time when that mattered more than anything. Their attentiveness, patience, and genuine kindness brought comfort not only to him but to our entire family. It was clear that every staff membe, from nursing to support services, approached their work with both skill and heart. Knowing he was surrounded by people who truly cared made an incredibly difficult chapter a little gentler. I’m thankful for the steady, compassionate presence Merwick provided and would wholeheartedly recommend their care to any family navigating similar circumstances.

This facility lacks an appropriate number of staff to care properly for the patients. When searching for an aide, they are virtually non-existent and when seen, appear to be “bothered” by an interruption. There are many ill patients in the post acute rehab section that NEED and DESERVE attentive care. The physical therapists, I believe, do an earnest job with the patients, but are not friendly or happy with the patients. The “owners” only seem to care about the new construction being completed……constantly walking around on the phone and not once was I ever spoken to or acknowledged. Care is negligent at best. My sister fell out of bed at 1:00 in the morning. She was put in a wheelchair; never called for an ambulance, and did not notify family until five hours later. X-rays were not performed until late afternoon. The staff wouldn’t call to get the results even after several hours. We were in the process of transferring her to another facility when she was taken to the emergency room - diagnosed with pneumonia. Do your loved ones a favor and place them in another post-acute facility. Pamela S Verdi

We had a tour at Merwick today for my mom, and I have to say that Merwick is a state of the art facility with impressive staff members. Everyone is so nice and friendly we feel very much welcomed. We really appreciate the kindness and effort that Michelle showed us. She is extremely knowledgeable and very professional. She explained in every possible detail how the long term living section and the rehab section work, she showed us the patient room, entertainment/activity room, meeting room for family and friends, she explained how the Chinese section on the 2nd floor operates; she answered many questions and concerns my mom and I had. We were very much impressed with her hospitality and professionalism.

I had a truly positive experience with Merwick Post Acute Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro, NJ. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed, supported, and cared for.
