Mom has been a resident at this facility for almost 18 months now and we have nothing but good things to say about the stay and the staff. Everyone is very gentle and caring with the residents. When mom stumbled and fell a few months back, one of the staff refused to leave her side, speaking in low calming tones to her, until the ambulance came to take her to the ER. Upon returning, everyone was eager to know how she was doing and if any special care was needed. The residents seem to make friends among themselves too. Mom has a small group that she "takes care of" and is always worried about them, and they about her. It is a true community family atmosphere. All the staff, from the executive director down to the maintenance staff are always friendly and eager to listen to ideas and suggestions for making the stay of the residents a pleasant one. It is after all their home. I have personally had conversations with Julio Veliz the executive director, Eduardo de Hoyos the sales director and several of the Medical Tech staff and they are all approachable and helpful. There are activities for the residents to participate in if they wish and a true effort is being taken to ensure the residents live happily, stay safe and be as healthy as possible. Family is encouraged to come and participate at all times and especially during the special activites such as Rodeo Day when there was a bbq, petting zoo, music and photo wall, all brought in for the residents to enjoy. If you are looking for a special place for your loved one, this is definitely worth the appointment for a visit.
