Staff lied and didn’t take my mom to the bathroom for 2 hours. Then had her on the bedpan for 2 hours. This place is less than a 1 star. My true rating is 2% The staff who did this to my mom was Black The Sr. Manager Jonathan Stipanovich will not make himself available through a phone or fax. Do not send your family here!

My Mom has been cared for in this facility for over 2 weeks now and the family is extremely satisfied with its staffs professionalism, empathy for patients, cleanliness, courtesy and managements communication. We were told this facility is recently under new management. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that needs rehabilitation care or short stay nursing that lives in the southwest metro Detroit. High Five to the Nursing Staff & the tremendous hard work of the Aides.

I had a wonderful experience with Medilodge. The Admissions Director was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming from the start. They gave a thorough and thoughtful tour, making sure all my questions were answered and that I felt comfortable every step of the way. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. Overall, it seems like a great place where residents are truly cared for.

If I could rate this place as -1000 stars, I would. The way they treated my grandmother, who was their patient/resident recently was completely deplorable. My 93 year old grandmother was transferred there to rehab after surgery for breaking her hip. We had to pull her out of there after a week, after being able to get her into a different facility, as she was extremely distraught at this place. When we came to visit, not one person (worker) stopped in to check in on her for 3/4 hours while we were there. When we got there, her water wasn’t anywhere near her, her bed was broken, and had been for days even after we had asked them to fix it on several occasions. Her oxygen was at 87, she had an hard time breathing, and nobody came in to turn on the oxygen mask for her all day. The machine wasn’t even anywhere near her. They also only changed her once per day. ONCE!. They also failed to order and give her the medication she needed in a timely manner! And the food there was completely inedible. When we transferred her to a different facility, we were told that she was extremely dehydrated and had really low blood pressure. And as we were getting her out from Medilodge, all she kept saying was help me, help me!! This place should really get looked into for elderly abuse and hopefully be closed down. I would for sure hate for anyone’s loved ones to end up there!

I cannot say enough great things about this facility. The staff is so wonderful with communication, or any help needed. My grandmother moved in with them a year ago after staying at another facility (which was absolutely horrible) They always have her hanging with the nurses or in the activities rooms, so she is not alone in her room. I absolutely love that! The staff is very personable with the residents and their families. It’s fun to watch the camaraderie during lunch time. The cute nicknames, inside jokes and giggles will be sure to bring you a smile. The facility is overall very clean as well.
