You will be sorry if you come to this place. No joke. It is a rundown facility. The place does not give medicine correctly or on time. Running out of sheets, blankets, gowns, etc. Running out of supplies. All staff seem to be busy elsewhere or on a break. Could lay in a wet diaper, soaking bed for many hours. (Discussing to the higher ups made no difference. Medilodge needs not reply to this review.)

My Son Duane has been so lost without the Loving Care from his Social worker, and assist with paperwork for transfer ,no job to big, she dropped what she was doing, and assisted us ,me Duanes mom as ,. well ,This Lady has kindness, knowledge, understanding of what you need before you know what you need ,and I cought a terrible upper respiratory infection, she put my Son in the wheelchair and took him to a ice-cream social, she is truly a Angel from Heaven. I'll never forget her ,nor will my Son whom adores her. Thank you so God Bless you 🙏 Eveline ans Duane.

This review is specifically regarding social worker Deidra Marshall and not Medilodge itself. I had a lot of concerns about my brothers care/health when he was a resident there. Deidra took the time to listen and address any issues we had. She made sure we knew that she was there to support and advocate for us. She was quick to take action on our concerns. Thank you Deidra for making us feel seen and heard during a difficult time.

My dad stayed here in Spring 2025 for several weeks. He kept declining and I spoke with staff and management. I had this intuition that something wasn't right- I know my dad and he is usually feisty. They kept minimizing my concerns such as "when do we consider a feeding tube?", "when do we send him back to the hospital?" etc. They waited until it was too late and he ended up transferring to the hospital in septic and cardiogenic shock. Patient to nurse ratio was unsafe. He went to the ICU where he later passed away. Staff bias allowed this place to fail my father. When he's in rehab, nobody works harder than him (if he is not septic). He hated being at a facility and would do anything to get out. I think they have potential but need better staffing ratios and training. A good nurse doesn't assume what you see is baseline and will listen to family.

about 2 1/2 weeks ago, my brother-in-law was admitted to Medilodge Of Sterling Heights. On the time of his admission, he was very weak disoriented and basically just a very sad mess. Over his stay at Medilodge He has become more stronger more sociable and working on his way to return to better health to return to his home. During his stay there I was able to speak with the social worker Deidra and I believe that I’met an angel. This person went completely out of her way to help my brother-in-law with a much needed agenda that we were thinking that there was no way this is going to be Accomplish . Miss Deidra Took it upon herself to make things happen for him he was able to get what he needed and it was a relief to him and the family members that this was able to be done . Every time that I asked to speak to Miss Deidra, it was not a problem. She happily met me and we were able to Discuss my brother-in-law situation with him present. Upon speaking about Medilodge of Sterling Heights I find that the staff is friendly and helpful with the way HIPAA and the policies of the nursing home. They do their very best to help answer any questions and try to assist as many issues. Nursing facilities can be a very sad place for one of our loved ones to be in. It’s very hard to go there day by day and visit and see the sadness but I am grateful and thankful for Medilodge of Sterling Heights for the care that they have given my family member. I give a great big shout out and thank you To miss Deidra for her kindness her motivation and Work ethics she is amazing and she is greatly appreciated by this family.
