If a Negative star count was possible that’s what I would choose. Go to their website, everything you read or see there is FALSE ‼️ There is nothing there that they do that would be considered acceptable care. My loved one was there for 7 days, care of every type was unacceptable. The last night she fell and laid on the floor over an hour screaming for help!! The ambulance was called and she was taken to the hospital and Promptly Admitted. Under no circumstance should anyone place a loved one in that facility for any reason‼️

0 stars. Worst place ever to leave a loved one. Still can't talk about ALL the details after 4 years. To be blunt, the head nurse thinks she's God, but is actually the devil, IMO. And she's teaching her young staff members who work there how to be uncaring and awful, as well. Honestly, I still avoid driving past the place if I possibly can. It brings up feelings I never imagined that I could possess. Anxiety beyond explanation. My fiance was there for rehab. He was on heart meds. He kept retaining water, he needed to be on his med and she wouldn't listen to me. And refuses to administer it. I showed her his ankles, then later his forearms were also gaining fluids. She said, my ankles do that, too. I said but his DON'T. She didn't care. I NEVER saw a Dr checking on patients and I was there every day for hours on end. They would ignore people who needed to use the restroom and man-handled them if they had an accident. Two aides went running down the hall giggling. When the nurse asked why, They told her that this lady's daughter was there to visit and they hadn't gotten her out of bed yet that day. It was after 6: 00pm. She didn't seem to be phased by their behavior. Left a man sitting naked on the toilet by his bed in front of the window without closing the blinds. It was facing the parking lot where everyone coming and going could see. He was sniffling when I walked by. I asked him if he was okay and he begged me to close the blinds. Said he'd been sitting there for over an hour. Helpless. Humiliated. Needless to say, my fiance left there in an ambulance. ED staff in Ludington was appalled at the state he was in. He could barely breathe. Couldn't push words out. One lung was completely full of fluid. The other was at least half full. They aeromeded him to GR. He never recuperated. In less than a week after all that he was sent home with hospice care. He lasted less than a week. It took a huge toll on his heart. Not a single doubt in my mind that nurse and those under her supervision ARE to blame. The only reason he ended up at the ER that night was because I pushed hard on a different nurse when the head nurse wasn't there. And she finally gave in and said she'd "be in trouble" for calling in an ambulance. But, she KNEW it needed to be done! When I spoke to the social worker on staff. She basically could not explain why all this happened. When I pushed and said what can I do to change this? She said I dont know how to help you. I'm leaving. I've applied for another job. I need to get out of here. The administrator at the time also left. (Which was a good thing. Because the one time I did talk to him early on about some concerns. He told me to be careful. Because what I was suggesting was very serious. He seemed a bit threatening. And seem to be bothered with having to talk to me. Said he was on his way out for the day. It was only 3:30.). So, the administrator was gone. The one kind social worker I met there was leaving. And what was left were several abusive staff members. Nice. There's so many more incidents I could share. I am totally disgusted with what happens there. I wish saying all this made me feel better, but it doesn't. Please don't leave your loved one there. I doubt they've changed from what I hear.

The care is appalling! Short staffed, no nurses, no social worker. Nothing. I will try my best to have my husband taken elsewhere. 19 days and Has Not seen a neurologist for his back. He has gone down hill so quickly. His neuro. Appt. Has been changed about 4 or 5 times since he's been. Anybody out there care? Anybody give a damn? It certainly doesn't seem like it.

My Father was admitted last night after being transferred from GR critical care unit and having nearly died from a massive sugar spike of 1300. Today the awful staff at medilodge gave him cake! My father could have died! Do NOT trust this place with your loved ones!!! Absolute disgusting negligent staff!

My experience with Medilodge of Ludington has been nothing short of terrible. The residents do not get the care they need or deserve. Employees often yell and shout at the residents, showing a complete lack of patience or compassion. Many of the staff members are incredibly lazy, and it’s clear that caring for the residents is not their priority. Management and HR is just as bad—completely unresponsive and unwilling to address any concerns. It’s heartbreaking to see vulnerable people being treated this way. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
