My parents moved here two years ago and Meadowood has met and exceeded every expectation we had. The staff and administration are excellent at what they do as well as caring and warm. The residents are kind, vibrant, and interesting. The facilities and programs are top notch. Planning to move there myself in three decades...

After 30 years in our home, we made the big decision to move to Meadowood. Now, three months later, the only question we ask is "Why not sooner?" My wife, a constant worrier, now has nothing to worry about. Our biggest problem is trying to manage our schedule so we don't over-schedule. You can do as much or as little as you like. The food is excellent, the staff is warm and friendly, and more importantly, extremely competent. My wife says it is like living at an all-inclusive resort.

There is a culture of bullying and passing the buck among the staff at the medical center. Patients have been placed in inappropriate units because someone else didn't want to deal with them. Higher-ups are inconsistent about what the rules are, and aides have been penalized for doing one thing and then by someone else for doing the exact opposite. Workers are set up for failure and this has a negative effect on patients. EDIT: no, there is not another Meadowood senior living in Skippack that I am referring to.

My Mom lived at Meadowood for a little over 3 months, and I can't say enough about the care she received while staying there. From the nursing staff to the dining staff, she was truly loved. Many of the above and beyond staff includes Jackie, Mary, Ayanna, John, Lori, Bernie, Tyrell, Patty, Prudence, Teresa, Nancy, and Ruth, and everyone else in Laurel House; a truly kind and caring staff!
