I believe that Meadowlark is a good facility. But one employee that works there will leave a sour taste in your mouth! Anne Peace is probably the rudest, most hateful, untrustworthy individual they could have hired/employ. Due to my interactions with her I have had to turn in numerous complaints about her hatefulness towards residents and their families. It honestly scares me that someone with those kind of mental issues to be so rude to elderly can work at Meadowlark. Very sad that someone who is so upset with them self is allowed to work at place where they allow her to take her anger out on the residents, families, and fellow co-workers! So sad!

My parents moved into Meadowlark this last summer. The staff have been very supportive and helpful. My parents love living here. I am so impressed with the therapy that my Dad has received for his Parkinson’s. He is doing more than I ever thought possible. My parents were so isolated in their previous home. Here at Meadowlark they are socializing so much more. What a blessing Meadowlark has been for my parents. Thank you for such a wonderful facility in Manhattan.

I can't think of a better retirement community than Meadowlark Hills. I've had family members and friends live up here that were treated with respect, dignity, and compassion. There is an endless amount of activities and opportunities to be engaged with each other and members of the community. I'm decades away from living in a place such as this, but when it comes time this will be at the top of my list.

I have visited so many times and never have I felt more comfortable in a long term care community. Surely I thought people would just give me the most positive they could when I was around, but the staff and residents are so real and personable. I also had a blast in the Cafe with people I didn't really know. Random residents invited me to sit with them and have lunch. Some had more recently moved here than others but it seemed that they all pretty much felt the same about Meadowlark. I saw many smiling faces and also enjoyed my visits. It was the best atmosphere I have ever experienced in a nursing facility.

My father lives here. The staff is wonderful and truly care about the residents. Administration keeps the focus on dignity and living life to its fullest. Just a few examples of the fun times we have; attending special events and programs that are held throughout the year, holiday celebrations organized campus wide, catching movies in the theater, going to eat in the cafe or restaurant, attending classes and presentations, walking the beautiful campus, fishing from one of the docks on the pond... the list goes on and on. Choosing long term care for your loved one can and should be a very thorough and thoughtful process, be sure to ask lots of questions and really pay attention to the surroundings when visiting prospective facilities. We chose Meadowlark Hills because they offered the most home like atmosphere and were visibly focused on dignity and maintaining as much independence as possible while delivering quality care. Fun fact we learned: Everyone there dresses in nice, normal clothing, they are staffed with RN's and medical professionals, but you wont see anyone wearing hospital type scrubs because there focus is on being "home" not an institution!
