I don’t usually write reviews, but the team at McCrite truly earned this one. Since January 2026, my mom has gone through an extremely difficult stretch — 2 surgeries, 3 hospital stays, post-surgical delirium, a wound vacuum twice, skilled nursing twice, and a lot of uncertainty. Moving from skilled nursing to assisted living is a big step, and today she is finally making that transition. I honestly could not be more grateful for how the McCrite staff handled every part of this journey. The nursing staff, nurse practitioners, therapists, and the social worker/case manager in skilled nursing were beyond outstanding. This was a painful and stressful time, and they consistently treated my mom with compassion, patience, and professionalism. They kept me informed, answered questions, and genuinely cared about her progress. I met with Patrice Pitts, Director of Marketing for Assisted Living, in early March as my mom arrived at McCrite skilled nursing for the second time and she immediately stood out. She provided a thorough tour of the facility and, more importantly, walked me through how to navigate the transition from skilled nursing to assisted living. She made it clear that she and the McCrite team would be partners in helping my mom have the best quality of life possible going forward — and she meant it. Every single team member — both in skilled nursing and assisted living — has had my mom’s best interest at heart. That’s not something you can fake. You feel it in how they talk to residents, how they respond to concerns, and how they support families during tough decisions. This has been a very hard few months, but McCrite made it easier. I’m thankful my mom is moving into assisted living surrounded by people who truly care. Five stars without hesitation.

I believe my dog got discriminated against at this facility. One day while walking a patient said they couldn't get out the building. I informed a staff member and they informed me the person wasn't suppose to because they was in memory care. She met my dog and said he was sweet and well behaved and said he would be great as a therapy dog. I asked if anything was needed documentation wise and they said no. I informed the community about the opportunity that if they ever felt their dog was a good fit mccrite welcomed dogs for therapy. We went to one met up and it went great. We were given complaints on his behavior and welcomed back. My dog behaved had a great time and the residence had fun meeting him or asking questions about him. Then shortly after the rules change few weeks after our visit which one is them being a certified therapy pet. I understand policies but I don't believe in coincidence that after the darker fur, xl large Bully breed type there is all of a sudden extra barriers. My husband said one on the therapy pets was a staff member. If the faculty is riddled with gossip that they only want certain breeds of dogs or staff member only pets they should be up front with that. There is another dog and a cat that comes once a week on going but as soon as my Bully breed darker fur looking dog comes in once then there's more hoops to be a therapy dog. I'll be telling the community about how we got recruited then discriminated

From my personal experience with Amelie Fleur and from my own observations, she is an incredible resident activity staff member at McCrite. She has shown such kindness and compassion toward my aging mother who is in long-term care. It is clear that Amelie genuinely cares for the residents she serves. She has gone above and beyond to make my mother feel included, supported, and valued. Seeing the way she interacts with residents and the effort she puts into their well-being brings our family so much comfort. We are truly grateful for the heart, patience, and dedication Amelie brings to her work every day.

My loved one has been at McCrite for over 3 years now. Activities have become an important part of his daily life. Amelie has been a huge contributor to helping him through some challenging times. She was able to get him to join many activities. Her sweet, caring, uplifting and calming personality truly shines through to each resident she comes in contact with. She is loved by all.

On 03/04/2026 my 79 year old mom and I toured McCrite with Alayne. I was immediately very impressed with McCrite as soon as I entered and was warmly greeted. Alayne was wonderful about explaining everything. She was easy to talk to and she answered all of our questions. We have toured about 10 different independent senior living places. McCrite was our top choice. We met the family owners during our tour, they were amazing people. When we left and discussed it we both decided on McCrite. The kindness and attention to our needs from Alayne, the staff, the building, and meeting the family owners made it an absolute easy choice. She signed the agreement on the next day.
