If I could give zero stars I would. My sister was admitted on a Friday evening. She had Stage 4 kidney cancer with metastasis to the lungs and bones. We had to call 911 on Sunday to get her out of there. They refused to put oxygen on her. Her sats were good according to the nurses but her cognition was decreasing, her fingers and lips were blue. I tried to explain that she had a pacemaker which was letting her heart compensate but that she needed the oxygen, it was obvious she was not perfusing oxygen by her blue fingers, toes and lips. She was purse lip breathing. She had no oral intake the entire time. They would bring her tray and set it down. She could not feed herself. She fell multiple times, we asked the nurse for a mat on the side of the bed. He assured us he would get one. He never did. That same night the CNA'S were running a relay down the hallway, yelling and laughing and screaming. It was ridiculous. I went in on Sunday she had fallen again. The CNA said she kept getting up and lying on the floor. She could not do that. She could not even feed herself or get a drink on her own. They never tried to feed her or give her fluids. The roommate said that the CNA saying that she was putting herself on the floor, was a lie, that she was in fact falling. That day she had 2 untouched trays of food in her room. We ended up calling 911 and had her transferred to the emergency room. They said she was severely dehydrated and her oxygen levels were really low. I called and left a message for the nurse manager and never received a return call. Just an awful experience. If I could give ZERO stars I would.
