I just want to give a shout out to one of your staff members TJ. I can’t tell you enough just how impressed I was with him today. I was able to witness how he interacted with one of the residents who became belligerent while out in a medical setting. It turns out the resident suffers from dementia and or Alzheimer’s . He was just so good with the resident as she became more and more agitated. He was able to use a firm voice with words that quickly diffused the situation. I was just in awe of him today. I really think that the resident could have made quite the scene as she began swearing and at first refusing to listen to TJ’s requests, however he spoke to her in a way that just took away that agitation . He used a stern voice and just reminded the patient that that wasn’t an appropriate way to behave, he reminder her that he doesn’t speak to her in that manner and that it was unfair that she was speaking to him the way that she was. TJ- I didn’t get a chance to tell you this today when I witnessed your interaction, but I wanted you to know just how impressed I was. I hope your employment is long with the Maples. You just really were amazing today, well you are every time I interact with you matter of fact!!! . Thank you for all you do when it involves transportation of the maples residents to their respective appointments in the Community.

We were able to do a window visit with our uncle. The staff was very accommodating. A staff member stayed with him the whole time to accommodate our communication needs. We didn't go in the building, yet it is lovely from the outside.

My Mom had to be admitted into a facility for the 3rd time since we moved back to Michigan, first time was a DISASTER in Manistee (after a hip break) .. she had to go in for a 2nd time because she still wasn't recovered/rehabilitated enough, so she went to the other facility in Frankfort. She then had a stroke, and her whole right side was extremely effected, we then chose The Maples, I was worried she'd never regain use of her right arm/hand and leg. The Rehabilitation dept. was AWESOME! She was in for almost 3 months and came home WALKING and doing much better than she's been in a couple of years. I'd HIGHLY recommend The Maples to everyone. IF Mom ever has to be admitted again, I'd pick THE MAPLES over any place around. (There were small (very small) problems, but, unlike in the other places, they were addressed immediately. With me (her daughter and to Mom) The staff is very helpful, caring, awesome. Right down to the cleaning lady!! Thanks so much for the GREAT care you gave my Mom. Lynda & Patricia -the patient. :)
