Where do I start? I'd give them zero stars but in order to write this I had to give them at least 1. My 87 year old mother was there for 88 days. She was admitted to a long term bed from a rehab facility after getting a bad UTI which caused some physical and mental issues. When she was admitted she weighed almost 190 lbs, the day we moved her out she weighed 136 lbs. That kind of weight loss in such a short time, is more than unacceptable, it's dangerous! They never told me what was going on, when she was sick, if they changeded her meds, if other medical people were coming in to see her, nothing. They completely left me out of the loop, even when I'd directly ask they wouldn't give me details. I sat with her a couple of weeks ago for over 4 hours. She put her call light on 4 different times with no answer, the last time I timed exactly how long it was on...1 hr and 28 mins, with no answer. My mother isn't the only one, they don't answer call lights half the time or it's a long time before they do, then they get upset with the patients if they are wet and need to be changed, even yelling at them. They are incompetent in their paperwork, and in their communication skills with other staff, with the patients family, and with the patient. They hardly ever answer the phone and there's never anyone at the units nursing station. The food, if you want to call it that, is horrible. Burnt, dried out, tasteless goop. I made a very bad decision to put my mother there, one that I will regret for the rest of my life. No one deserves to be treated with such carelessness and disrespect, but your loved ones especially don't! I'm writing this in hopes that I save any other families from the stress and heartbreak of finding out the hard way that this facility, as it's being run right now, should not be allowed to care for anyone.
